1-2 with a walk and a double tonite.
4 game hit streak now.

After starting 2 for 38, he's now 6 for 16.

stros were 9 games over .500 when he got called up. They are 3-11 since then....yikes.

Yep, been following. Just wish they would win some games and find a way into the playoffs.

He is batting .148 right now. That is an improvement but he needs to jump up into the .200's quickly.

I was messing with you. Remember baseball gods. Also, he is 7 hits over last 22 with being robbed in the 3rd tonight.

I still think Houston rushed him up a bit, but I saw him torch Texas this weekend.

I'm happy he's finding his footing. He'll be a great one, maybe not right now or next year, but in due time. He's young, but has all of the skills.

Sucks I have to watch him play against Texas, but I still hope the best for him!

I don't quite understand this thinking.

All players get as many hits on balls where they don't "deserve" a hit as they lose on being robbed.

they call that a dink or Texas leaguer or cheap hit. If a player makes a great play on a ball that would have been a hit then yes he robbed the player of a hit.

I understand it. However a guy being robbed is often brought up in a context where we are trying to make someone's performance better than it is.

"He's hitting .200 but he's been robbed a bunch."

"He went 3 for 4 tonight and got robbed on the other one." But no mention that 2 of the 3 hits were dinks.

Not criticizing Bregman. Just having conversation.

Similar to talking about a QB going 20-25 and 3 of the misses were drops. Well, probably 3 of the catches were not on the money either.

You are correct when you talk about the law of averages of a 162 game season. However, in Bregmans case, he hasnt even played a month of baseball. So there is a chance the lucky/unlucky hits have not yet averaged out. I havent watched close enough to say so, but there is a chance he is severely tilted to the "unlucky" side at this point.

Very true. I'm definitely not bashing on him. Just conversing.

Worked in Texas this week, Houston sports radio still playing a promo where their local radio guy talks about how Bregman is just a good prospect who's not ready.

Hate Houston sports radio.

Actually, the whole town is what I hate, but I'm watching Astos now to see Bregs

Bregman first error at third. He scored and that's what happens when you rush a throw.

Another hit for Bregman. He's extended his hit streak to 5 games with another to play tonight.

He's 8/25 (.320) with 3 RBIs and 5 Runs scored after starting 1/32 (.031) with no runs or RBIs.

It was just a matter of time!

He is making adjustments against the best pitching in the world. Kid has "it" to succeed.

Error yesterday didn't count since game was rained out in the 2nd inning.
