If he throws to Buga straight over the middle out of backfield it's 21-0. Buga was wide open. 17-0 instead.

BH should have seen the safety come up to the line before the snap. LF7 was by himself in the end zone.

I also thought that Dural gave up on one of the routes. Could have been miscommunication but it seemed like he pulled up and could have easily had a chance at the ball had he kept running.

its not like we had alot of plays to break down with the passing game. It was a mixed bag of wrs sucking major cock and Harris just missing some reads. Hopefully we get this shite fixed for nov. We don't need to sling it all over the yard but we need to at least be a threat to hit a deep one and be able to convert on some manageable downs.

I think we will try to throw some on USCjr and then when we play UF its going to be very safe throws and a huge dose of buga.

Then WKU we will try to throw it again and get in sync before heading to bama.

Great breakdown! It would be nice to see what kind of cushion they were giving LSU's receivers. It seems like if they were running streaks so often, a cushion would have allowed for instances to break off the routes for intermediate gains. I, like numerous posters, wonder why there are rarely quick outs or slants or basically anything that will achieve 6-8 yard gains. In my opinion, with LSU's ability to run the ball, facing 2nd and 2 or 3 yards consistently would make the offense lethal.

Another thing I have noticed is that LSU seems to struggle when they get behind the chains. Again, just my opinion, but the ability to get 6 or 7 yards via the pass will be invaluable later in LSU's schedule when you have 3 downs to cover a penalty. The penalty aspect was good for a while, then reared its head later. I wonder if a team has EVER received a 15-yd penalty in consecutive games for continuing to play without a helmet

I think we are scared of slants unless we have a legit NFL type qb. The ghost of Lee in 08 has ruined all short passes

Great job...I also noticed on the 3 post routes to Dural, the underneath route was wide open 2 of 3 attempts for at least 15 to 20 yards

Yeah, I understand the threat of a pick six or an int in general, but complete avoidance of a potentially easy gain seems drastic. Harris has a tendency to throw heaters on short routes, so seems like it's a viable option.

#19 3rd and goal 2:25 3rd qtr.
Last pass play. Shotgun formation 2 WR to right TE right on line of scrimmage and 1 WR left.
Harris and Williams in backfield.
Harris threw to Malachi who was in slot on right. They jumped Dural on in route. Harris threw it behind Malachi who was open for a TD.

Either Malachi could have settled a little more or Harris throw it a little softer over the top.

30 to 17 with 2:17 in 3rd.

At this point on screen,
we had 45 plays Rush 29 Pass 15

A third of our plays were passes.

At end of 3rd, LSU 30 E Mich 22
No reason to throw any more. Deion Jones pick 6 puts it away and no turnovers trying run more pass plays.

You just go and win the ball game there and worry about it at practice for next week against S. Carolina.
