If Sampson is able to steal a starting spot over Patterson or Hornsby I'd be very shocked. Still think Sampson is a huge pickup and will contribute next year, but I doubt he passes up those experienced guys.

ER3/Malone/Simmons
I think that is what the lineup will look like first game of the season. I could see Blakeney possibly unseating Hornsby by SEC play but Hornsby is such a good player it will be tough. I am assuming big E will improve in the offseason or Malone will be starting in that spot. Hopefully we can add Kasongo, but that would mean someone gets processed.

Simmons/Bridge/Epps/Malone

No it wouldn't. LSU has one more scholarship available.

Disagree.
All we need this coming year is a big at the 5 to block shots, and get rebounds.
No real scoring threat needed. I think the guys we have (Victor, ER, Malone) can get that done by comittee.

I like your optimism, but based on the info we know right now, what makes to belive that LSU is "good" on the blocks?
Bridgwater is 6'4" and is generally overmatched against taller competition inside
Epps is athletic, but thin. When he did play last year he stayed more on the wing than inside
Robinson - Who knows?
Malone - 7 footer who has trouble rebounding
Victor - How soon will he be eligible?
Simmons - He has the size of a PF, but he's a wing
LSU still has to find someone who will give them a presence inside, be that with another signee or big improvement by one or more of the bigs on the roster.

What scholarship am I missing? Odo, martin, mickey are the only ones leaving, did we not use all our scholarships last year?

I think we had two unused scholarships last year.
Basketball is allowed 13 scholarships, last year we only used 11.
