Probably. Looked great against Mississippi St and New Mexico St his freshman year. Then Myles/Cam said let's put him under center and run run pass.

If I remember right Brandon Harris played a lot better at LSU when coming off the bench. Maybe he is just more relaxed this way.

As would be almost every QB in the NCAA right now.

nah, his best work was as a starter in 2015. prior to Bama he was pretty highly rated and fairly efficient. not saying he didn't have some low points in 2015, but on the whole, there was legit reason to think he was on an upward trajectory and could be a competent/ decent QB for us in 2016. unfortunately, we know how that worked out...

The guy who transferred because he couldn't start was outclassed by the reigning Heisman winner...who woulda thunk.

He was great in second half vs. NMSU in 2014. It's been downhill since then

Had some great games in 2015, but also some really poor ones. I think Les Miles was just cancer for QBs who came to LSU straight from high school. All the QB transfers we've had leave LSU and none of them have looked good and Rettig never even started.

It would be better for the future if the freshman continued to start to prepare him for next year, but I would love to see Harris have a redemption year. Put up the stats his physical talent has always been capable of, win 8-9 games, and get drafted somewhere.

LSU has never needed a heisman talent at QB to have a great offense.

Plenty of great QBs never sniff NYC.

I agree, don't see how "being outclassed by the Louisville QB" is in anyway an insult.

Harris played a great game and I'm happy for him. He had a bad one the week before, still don't know where he is as a QB yet.
He had a great game against a great UF defense in 2015 at LSU and that didn't tell his whole story either.

Actually he had a few stellar games at LSU, check his performances in 2015 vs Western Kentucky, South Carolina and Texas Tech.

None of these teams had good defenses, however.

There is one exception, UF 2015

13-19
202 yds
2 TDs 0 INT

UF finished 8th in total defense that year, with a very talented secondary

I said this before, his best performances outside of UF we're when he had no pressure. Getting beat by moo state, come in and just throw it. Already up on a scrub Sam Houston.

All his other starts, not so good.
