Yes drafted. He has the talent to be drafted, but his decision making and short passing game has always been his problem. It's not like it doesn't happen.

TJ Yates for, ironically UNC, for example. Played truly awful two of his three years prior to his senior year. His final year he finished with 67% 3400+ pass yards and 22 total TDs. Got drafted in the 5th round and has managed to be a backup for 6 years.

Another, Tom Savage, started with promise, fell flat, transferred, performed great as a senior, and got drafted. His 2 years at Rutgers were statistically similar to Harris's last 2 years at LSU. When he got to play at Pitt as a senior, he threw for almost 3000 yards completing 61% of his passes with 21 TDs to 9 int (24 total TDs). Got drafted in the 4th round and has been a backup for 3 years.

Sort of what I was thinking.

Can we get an Anthony Jennings stat line too?

To be fair, that wasn't the criteria used in the post for not caring about BH. The Post was (paraphrased):

"doesn't play for LSU - Don't Care".

Perhaps the post should have more accurately said, "BH quit playing for LSU so he could play for another college team - don't care".

agreed.

But even if a player transfers to another college team, does that mean they're dead to me??

Of course not. I may still like the guy - it really depends on how they left LSU. Example: Lindsey Scott. How can anyone not wish him the best and yes, I do "care" how he does at EMCC and after.

But other players that transfer out because of bad behavior, bad attitude, etc. I admit I don't really care about them anymore.

But the good guys that transferred because they want playing time? I don't stop caring about them because of that.

You can see that it's more complicated than simply saying "they don't play for LSU so I don't care."

Then why are you reading the damn thread? Why are you posting in it.

That's your call, but post about them on the MSB. He isn't a Tiger at the moment.

It shouldn't be, but some of yall apparently can't grasp the concept.

None of us know what went on with O, Canada, and Harris, but Harris chose not to compete for the QB position at LSU once he lost the starter position.

It didn't help LSU to lose a past starter with his experience in the program. He walked away from LSU. I don't care.

He's not getting drafted.
You've also said Danny Etling is a terrible SEC QB.

Normally, your analysis is good, but you are way off on these 2 players.

You are correct that no one in here knows for sure what happened with Harris leaving LSU.

But the word was, once Coach O took over he and Ensminger rarely even talked to Harris and he wasnt getting any more reps than the other backups.
Miles was constantly trying to keep him upbeat by saying you may get another shot etc....
I dont blame O or give Miles any props either.
These are decisions that have to be made. O obviously was trying to build Etling's confidence and had decided that his best shot at getting the HC job and the teams best shot at salvaging the season and getting to a major bowl revolved around Etling. If this is the case, Harris saw the writing on the wall, just like most know when they are about to be fired.

So to act like Harris just up and quit works both ways. The coaches may have quit on him first. When theres a change in leadership, all commitments are off. Leaving this way is much different than just leaving. To put it like he just quit on the team is a bit strong.

Hard to blame a guy, for wanting a new start somewhere else, and wanting to prove to himself, that he can play this game at this level or he cant. Too many kids spend the rest of their lives wondering what if.

I wish Harris the best, he was a good kid, just not a reliable QB. He fooled Fedora as well and got the start.
He was a terrific practice player and flashed in a few games. He has a special arm and is pretty elusive when he runs from the pocket.

At QB, you either have "it" or you dont. Him being beaten out by a Freshman, should end all doubt at this point. He had every opportunity to win the job at LSU and Fedora gave him a second chance at UNC to showcase his talents

Harris' success/failure at another school is very pertinent to an LSU message board. It either confirms if Les Miles offense was the problem, or if he was just a bad QB to begin with. Or both.

Harris didn't leave under Les. He left under O and Canada.
