He does need to improve on some other things, but putting on 15-20lbs is a must how many 6'3 180lbs QB's make it a whole season in the SEC especially being a runner!

I don't know what you are trying to get at, but I made several posts on the recruiting board that you can go and find yourself. I said that he should RS and take time to bulk up and learn the offense.

I thought at least one of Rivers or Rettig would have been able to keep him at bay at least his first year, but that was not the case.

Guy is immensely talented. Speed of Mariota, and arm of Mettenberger. Once he settles in, he will be dangerous.

I think Mulat is basically agreeing with you, and saying that he/she would have liked to see Miles arrange a situation where Harris could have redshirted his first year. I think.

Well, I am not bashing him or saying he has maturity issues. My statement about him working harder can be said for any backup. I doubt many of these critics could handle half the pressure or criticism given to these college kids.
You are taking this really personally on his behalf. Saying he has maturity issues is not bashing him. He would tell you he has maturity issues himself if you asked him. Virtually every 18-19 year old has maturity issues, even the unusually advanced ones. No, we couldn't handle the pressure he was under this season, and apparently neither could he. It isn't bashing to say that, because he shouldn't have been asked to handle that kind of pressure in the first place.

Its all good. I'm just tired if the fire Miles bullshite because he didn't play Harris. They also think Jennings is just going to start from here on out because Miles found his guy. I believe they want Harris to show more. They would never have started him in the first place if Jennings was their guy. They believed he gave us a better chance, This season.

I am not so much talking about your comments as others. However, you are getting pretty defensive plus didn't know you could speak on BH's behalf.

I am not taking anything personal, just the opposite. I think when people want to go after players based on rumor or non-facts then they should be challenged. If they want a platform to voice opinion without having an opposite view or without being challenged, then they can find another place to go.

Holy cow, you been holding that in for a while?

And to be honest, while I am not defending Haslett (I think he was a terrible head coach) I don't think he played Brooks believing Delhomme was the better option. I think Haslett or his OC missed the boat on that one. Or Brooks was a better fit for that offense. This was not the first or last time coaches in college or the NFL have missed on a QB. I would argue that missing on a QB is more likely than getting it right. Just look around the NFL, QB issues all around.

Good example though,

Yeah, I like to reward people who didn't play worth a shite and doesn't have work ethic too.

Didn't play worth a shite?

It's one thing to support your head coach, but it's another thing to completely stretch the truth and shite on a player like you've been doing. It's ironic that you call people out for being negative and not supporting the program when youre as negative as anyone who posts here.

One day, LSU will not have these constant QB problems.

At least that's what I keep telling myself.

Maybe if we keep repeating it to ourselves it will come true.

Say what you want about Jennings, from Day 1 he was willing to put in the practice, film study etc. There is no assurance Harris will ever overcome these two handicaps, but I sure hope does.
Which makes it all the more necessary to bring in a JUCO QB and looks like they're NOT going to.

Les is the Titanic Captain and about to hit that giant iceberg. Going down with the Ship, when all he had to do is check the telegraph for Ice Berg warnings. Negligence leads to disaster. Not signing A JUCO QB is a disaster waiting to happen and the LSU Fan Base will have no pity if the ship collides and sinks because the Captain didn't perform the necessary action to prevent it....................................................

Which JUCO QB do you suggest? The kid who just got arrested (again) or the kid with zero offers? Maybe one of the kids committed to Bowling Green or Indiana State or Western Illinois? It's ridiculous to think we can just snap our fingers and bring in another Mettenberger, or even a Bo Wallace. There just isn't one out there this year.

Riiiiiiiight.... neither of the two scholarship QBs would take some exception to that.

You can't be serious.

I'm as frustrated with the QB position as any other fan but what you're suggesting isn't realistic, at all.

If we were to bring a JUCO QB, which I don't see happening, do you honestly think he'd start over Jennings and Harris?

C'mon man.

Harris is raw as hell and real skinny to boot. Did you see some of the hits Jennings took this year? No way I'd want to lose him, and have him miss practice time because he has to rehab for months.

I said when he first comitted, that he needed at least a redshirt year. Since everybody else sucked and he was fighting for the start, I knew he wouldn't redshirt. I had then hoped that Jennings would play well enough that Harris could sit on the bench to learn and bulk up for a year or two.

As usual datbayoubengal is a voice of reason. I spoke with Michael Vick for 20 minutes right after he returned from a QB camp in LA. He pretty much said the same thing, that BH was going to be good, but needed to bulk up...
