Is there a B Jenkins highlight film from last season?

wouldn't it be hilarious if ER somehow remains on the roster and ends up killing it? I mean it has about a 0% chance of happening, but he's definitely beat the o/u on days I expected him to be on the roster after wade was hired

Sheds 40 lbs and becomes an All-SEC center.

I would just assume Will Wade walks on water at that point.

Hard to second guess a coach. I thought he had made a positive comment on Jenkins earlier but that might have been second hand. I can see where Coach Wade is coming from. Young, ambitious coach has just gotten his first major job and is under a lot of pressure to start winning right away. It seems now that he feels his best chance at that is to bring in as many new people as possible.

He is going for experience and what can you do for me now rather than any potential transfer players might have had. And when you go for senior transfers and JUCO's, you will still have open scholarships for future years. Trying to second guess again, I would think one more player leaves. Elbert, Patterson or maybe even Epps.

Please not Mays or Simms. I think they both will improve a lot.

I doubt he told Jenkins to look elsewhere.

I'm sure its just a huge culture shock for these guys. Jones and Wade couldn't be more polar opposite.

I wouldn't say that's true at all, many have said since he's tired they were prepared for a multi year rebuild. Now Wade probably would like to establish some momentum in year one, which just was not realistic with the roster as it was

I think some gains can be made by simply not having a roster that has given up. Jones' death rattle this year was entirely predictable and preventable, but the administration seems to love going one year too long and bottoming out. So here we are.

All that to say, if the same roster gives more consistent effort, they will look much better than Jones had them looking. If they ever become willing to defend, they might actually be good enough to finish around 6th in the league.

I'm sure Wade would love to validate his hire with a good season, but I don't see him under pressure at this point from the higher ups. Hell if LSU manages to make the NIT, I think most would be thrilled. Anything beyond that is gravy.

This...I think some will be surprised at how some accountability makes some of these guys look like better players.

Wade putting in work.

I'm 100% confident Wade will fill the Jenkins spot with a player who can contribute immediately.

Jenkins just didn't seem to have it after the injury. I watched some stuff on him before the injury and I'm hoping he can get back to that level somewhere else.

There's no way the returning players do not improve considering they are now getting coached by an emotional and disciplined coach. Jones was a zombie on the sidelines and watched the train wreck happen before his eyes without making any changes.

I expect most to improve, but doubt everyone will. Just doesnt happen that way all the time. Some guys might not respond to his coaching as well as others. Wade is a lot more structured and calculated the JJ was.

I don't think Jenkins has a redshirt left. I think he spent three years at JUCO. That would mean he will have to transfer to a lower level school or get a waiver of some sort. Unless he's graduating, which I doubt.

I agree.

But I feel like those not responding to his coaching well are just leaving

He has made it clear there's a new sheriff in town.

Bold, unlikely prediction: J. Patterson becomes a pretty good PG under Wade.

I just don't see how Robinson will cut it. Unless Wade makes him his personal project and lets just say that he turns into an average player, then yes, Wade is indeed the man!

Realistically Elbert is just not a very good basketball player.

But we have had some pretty good basketball players get worse under Johnny and a lot of Elbert's issues had to do with being in bad shape, having good offensive sets, no instruction on boxing out, and horrendous ball movement.

If Robinson got in much better shape, I could see him giving us 10 minutes a game if we can't find another big man.

Or he's just gonna quit

I really trust Wade's coaching.
