How can anyone in their right mind say Brady wasn't at least a huuuuuge part of 2019. That's just stupid. How quickly we forget. I'll take him back in a heartbeat.

You couldn't just say Schemers? Play designer? Has innovative concepts?

Just because you can draw up plays, doesn’t mean you are a great play caller.

What if you call 3rd down and Redzone plays and you’re too 5 in converting both.

Well when you have an offense full of first rounders it’s pretty easy to be that good.

Tell that to Steve Ensminger and Peetz.

Also, did we cut all our WRs?

You mean lsu every year? C’mon. Boutte is probably going top 10. These young WRs are going top 3 rounds if they keep progressing. With a better line, our running backs room will be TOP TIER. You gotta be joking

In 2018, Ensminger had Burrow, Chase, Jefferson, Marshall, Helaire, and the entire O line -- and did nothing with it.

In the 2019, the offense exploded.

I wonder what the difference was.

I'd take Brady back in a heartbeat too but let's not pretend that we were running all these super tricky plays that nobody else has ever thought of in 2019. A lot of our big plays were just go routes that ended up being 50/50 balls and Chase & Jefferson were incredible at going up and getting them. For the most part we simply executed better than the other team.

Now that QB run for a TD against Bama....that was a work of art.

I’ll give Ensminger some props but when Brady came in, he totally changed that WR group. Would love him back as PGC & WR’s coach!

This board is notorious for anointing coaches and players the best ever with a small sample size. Hell MJ was proclaimed to be the man last year. Fans are already anointing Howard for next year. Brady will probably end up being a great coach but he still needs experience. I would love for him to be at LSU in some capacity just not as our OC yet.

Well let’s see, Burrow had got there in June, Chase and Marshall were freshmen, Jets was a RS sophomore that had never started. First year under new O-line coach. E hadn’t called a full season in years. So there are plenty of reason why the 2018 team wasn’t great. Listen. I’m not saying Brady isn’t great. But I’m not sure I trust him 100% as an every down play caller.
