These rules have been in place for ever and LSU has benefited in the tournament and in the CWS in the past. Get over it.

With the exception of the higher seed coming out of the losers bracket. Then the lower seed should be home team.

LSU would have benefited If they had been the visiting team last night. The 9th would have been more stressful, but Rice would have burned their top reliever for another ~15 pitches.

So let me guess, the game will be on ESPN3 again and not TV?

Since we're the last game being played, I think there's a chance we could be on ESPNU.

NC State pitcher just got pulled. It's 0-0 in the 2nd. I wasnt paying close attention but he's either sick or hurt. Can't be good for a team already coming out of the losers bracket and having to win twice today.

That was great, I thought State got screwed on that call too. The next pitch after the ejection was exactly the same but called a strike. Sarcastic applause from the State crowd.

Avent seems to have lit a fire under the Pack after getting tossed. They just hit a 2-run bomb to give State a 3-0 lead.

Unfortunately, away once again. Same number of home games now, but Rice has been the visitor more often, so they still get to be the home team.

Why is this not considered a rematch?

these home away rules are so lame. You get to host, but you potentially but the #2 could get the most home games in the regional.

It is, but the home/away rules are settled by who was home the least first, who was away the most second, and THEN the rematch rules come into play.

It is incredibly dumb that they do anything other than home the least and then go wit the higher seed after that. Rice essentially benefits from having lost earlier in the tournament and now they'll be the home team 3 times while LSU was only home twice.
