BR Regional Home/Away thread: Rice will be the home team vs. LSU on Tuesday

I just wanted to make a thread for this, to avoid the 10 others that would otherwise be made. The higher seed is only the home team for the first round. After that, the order is:
1) The team that's been home the least
2) The team that's been away the most
3) For rematches: The team that was away in the previous matchup
4) The team that was away in their last game, unless both were away
5) Coin flip
Since both teams were home for their first game, a coin flip is necessary. I'll update when I know who won it. The Southeastern-Utah Valley game will also have the home team decided by a coin flip, since both were away.
UPDATE: LSU and Utah Valley won their respective coin flips for Sunday's games.
Home/away count for remaining teams (only counting games that have finished)
LSU (2 home, 1 away)
Rice (2 home, 2 away)
Monday's games
Southeastern will be home against Rice in their elimination game, since SELU hasn't been home at all yet in this regional.
Conversely, LSU will be the visiting team in the second game, against either team, since we haven't been away yet.
Tuesday's game
Rice and LSU have now been home for the same number of games. However, Rice has been the visiting team more often. So, Rice will once again be the home team.

Do we ever win the coin flip?

I know I am preaching to the choir but I hate this

It is one of the dumbest things the NCAA does. I will never understand their thought process behind it

Won't we be wearing purple this game?

IT'S NOT FAIR! The rule is so damn ignorant.
You win all year and earn the the right to be a national seed. And then you're the visitors the rest of the weekend after Friday because you lost a damn coin flip or the 3 beat the 2. This has happened to LSU more than once. It definitely happened the year of ULL/SHSU/Jackson State.
And then it's even stupider during the Super Regionals. You're the home team on Friday. Then you're visitors on Saturday because it's not fair to be home team again. And then you lose the coin flip on Sunday and you're the visitors twice in a row. But somehow THAT'S fair.

Only if we have a democrat flip the coin for us.

Right... Because LSU has NO other benefit from being a 1 seed.

Be sure to bump this thread tomorrow when we actually get to play the game.

Fans are required to root for whichever team wins the coin flip if I'm reading the NCAA rules correctly. Plus, our recent record is only 1-1 against teams with owl mascots.

I've decided to keep this thread going for the rest of the regional, however long that takes. There will be lots of questions about our next game if I don't (and still plenty, regardless).

You've been around long enough to know that while this is a great thread idea, it won't stop others from starting their own thread to ask questions answered by this one.

Oh, I know that. Just this weekend, people have started threads to ask a question that was answered in a stickied thread. I just wanted to try to cut down some of the clutter, if not all of it.

Well...they don't get to use their dugout either.
And if you earned the right to play at home, haven't you also earned the right to be the home team?
If they're so concerned about Fairness, then put the ULL regional at The Box and make LSU play in Lake Charles. I mean it's halfway to Houston.
