Booing a kid on the field shows about the same amount of class as defecating in public. In a church. On Sunday morning.

those are clearly the same thing.

No it is more akin to booing your waitress who took your meal to the wrong table. It's idiotic.

And then to cheer the other QB, who fumbled on the goalline last time he played. Yeah that's much a better play for the team and fan morale.

Why sure they are reb, someone on the rant said it

Id like one of the people on here who say it is not ok to boo, bitch, or complain about a bad product (Yes, LSU football is a product)to answer one question....

When IS it ok to boo, bitch, or complain

It is NEVER OK to Boo. Just leave if you're unhappy. When's the last time you booed at your job or in a store, or at chuch?

It's classless, and the reason we get tagged as trailer park trash.

So its never ok to complain about a situation??? If you get the wrong order at a fastfood place, its not ok to complain?

Well ive got a newsflash for you.... EVERY... let me say it one more time, EVERY team has been booed at one point or another.

Not the same thing... Booing is not the way you give feedback in these other situations, it is the way you give feedback at a sporting event.

there are plenty of reasons for that. booing isn't one of them.

the ground caused the "fumble" for JJ on that play near the goal line.

6-2 and ranked in the Top 15 isn't competitive? WOW, LSU fans are getting worse than the GUMPS quickly

were people booing the entire team or the guy about to set a record for interception returns for touchdowns?

i suspect if anyone were to talk to Lee, he would admit that the boos were warranted.

this is the best summary I have seen- good job-- this young man continues to throw ints that are returned for tds and we all know that we should have played jefferson earlier in the game come on

so getting hit while you are throwing causing a bad throw and then getting assisted of the field warrants boos when you suck it up and go back on the field. Makes perfect sense. Ask yourself this honest question...would you want your son to be in the place of JL last night?

maybe the booing might help motivate him to work harder in practice?

No, all it does is destroy what little confidence the kid may have right now. He is about to face the best defense he has seen all year and these MORONS decide to boo him. GENIUS!!

how about several times this yr, the coach took him out when he was performing real poorly. is that equivalent to booing? he was taken out b/c the coaches didnt have confidence in him. does that make him lose confidence similarly to getting booed?

this is Div-1A at the highest level. if he cant handle a little booing after playing poorly, then he wont succeed at QB.

he'll be fine..

Ok, I in no way condone booing student athletes. But then again, every time TAF or somebody wants to charge an 8 gazillion dollar surcharge for tickets, they always talk in terms of LSU Football being a "product" or a commodity. Frankly, if you are gonna convince people to pay 4k for tickets to watch the product on the field, then they are certainly entitled to complain if the product they are paying for is not up to snuff.

Again, I think booing kids is atrocious. And they are just kids. But if some are going to convince people that they are product, and make people pay dearly for that product, I suspect they have the right to voice their displeasure when what they have purchased does not perform correctly.

Weird how in one direction, namely "making money", the fact that we are dealing with kids is lost. But when people are forced to buy into the philosphy being espoused, they are lambasted for expressing displeasure in the result. Seems like a double standard.

Again, I was not in favor of the ridiculous hikes...I'm also not in favor of booing kids. Really ridiculous all the way around in my opinion.

I thought it was funny how Lee stayed down after that pick 6, if I'd have thrown that pass I would have been "hurt" too.. That said a lot of people sound like his mom on here, "Oh don't boo my baby boy!" When he keeps throwing pick 6's that kill our team (I know it didn't affect the outcome tonight but in previous games it definitely has) he deserves to get booed. I didn't boo him when he came back on the field, I only booed after the pick 6. If he doesn't want to get booed then he should start to learn from his mistakes that he makes EVERY game and show some sort of improvement.
