Don't count on it man. The excuses are already out in full force. I could almost make a list of which ones they will use for the next 4 years.

think Williams is every bit as good as key.

Tim and key are diff ages. No telling if key even ends up here if Tim Williams was at LSU. And maybe chavis and brick don't get out of Tim what saban is.

A whole lot of ifs and buts. Bama wanted fournette and didn't get him. They seem to be fine without him. Jameis Winston? Still won titles without him.

Alleva did negotiate with Herman. They apparently had a preliminary agreement. Once the Texas job opened, terms changed. At this point Alleva moved to another tactic: don't play games you can't win. These are all known forms of negotiation. Saying 'he didn't negotiate' is just wrong.

What we all need to know:

Elite players from LA(Robinson and Williams) are playing for Bama ahead of other 5 star athletes and impacting the game on a regular basis. And now more elite LA products are leaving the state to play for Saban.

Les wanted Dak to play freaking Tight End, but now he's a legit NFL MVP candidate as a freaking rookie QB.

We have a once in a generation talent RB in LF with an NFL caliber backup who may have developed his skill set to impact the game as much as LF in Derris Guice along with very talented WRs, but we couldn't score more than a combined 23 points against the 3 best SEC defenses.

5 years ago we managed to not finish in the top 50 in offensive production with 5 NFL caliber players in Laell Collins, OBJ, Juice Landry and Mett as well as very talented roll players at other positions on the offense.

The bottom line is that we need a culture shift at LSU to improve offensive production or the exodus of talent will continue to effect recruiting on the offensive side and now bleed over more and more to the defense.

I hope Ed O can change the culture and improve offensive production. I have my doubts, but hope he has learned from his mistakes and gained knowledge on how to improve a program's culture. I think Herman would've been a good fit to change the culture but he's at UT. I'm now all in with Coach O, and hope the pessimism can end soon so the attitude toward LSU football in-state and internally the culture of the program can move in the right direction.

Losing these players is another symptom of the main problem. Saban has every aspect of the business running properly. Bama makes few midtakes, on or off the field. It takes every department doing top level work to do what they do. A colloge football coach is the CEO of a big corporation, not just a guy that blows a whistle and shouts instructions.

Don't forget Eddie Lacy, Daylon Carlot, Denzel Devall, and Kenny Bell was alright for them.

i believe the play you're referencing was actually a running back screen, not a safety valve dump off, but i'm with you, shouldn't have been that easy

Landon Collins is a traitor. I hope his pro career goes well because the only job he gets here would be at Burger King.

You and everyone else on this board really has no idea who we did or didn't negotiate with.

It had nothing to do with out bidding. Texas paid no more for him than lsu offered. He wanted Texas period. Have you. Been to the 40 acres?? Unfortunately we don't compare. Ours looks like a
3rd rate facility compared to them

Should not have let Saban get the hell out of Louisiana in 2004.

How do we know that?

We didn't even try to negotiate with him.

Its asinine to just assume he wasn't coming when we didn't negotiate.

And you know 100% we didn't negotiate with Herman? Or are you taking message board rumors as fact? You are doing the same thing you claim Booger is doing.

You want to start beating Alabama? You want to start winning national championship? Keep them the hell out of Louisiana. It's really simple.

Well this is just flat wrong. As if we wouldve been beating Bama of they didn't get the 3-4 la players theyve gotten that we actually wanted.
