Bobby is incapable of being quiet when he might be able to talk instead

The weirdest thing about hearing him on the radio or wherever is you'd think he had a great career to hear him talk. He was a professional athlete and credit him for that... but (for example) it's fairly laughable when he's talking to Brees coming off a season with over 4000 yards and he brings up his own accomplishments

I can. He was.

maybe he was, but not because the Rams were 0-8 going in and the Saints lost. They were still an NFL team. All you seem willing/capable of doing is looking at scores.

quote:

Sean Payton- 35-23 record (25-23 before this 10 game run)

Les Miles- 50-14 record.....

but to some that record of 50-14 is not good enough. I think my point has been made, Im out

you can't compare college records to pro. There are not OOC games against ULL on the Saints schedule

I'm sorry if you are afraid or unwilling to do some actual analyzing beyond saying 50-14 isn't good enough. LSU will not be 50-14 in the next 64 games on the current path. If you can't see problems, then you are not willing to.

when did I say that? But to have Bobby fricking Herbert commenting on how one coach never makes mistakes and the other always does is BS bro and if YOU can't see that than you have your own non-hidden agenda

I can count dozens of times when Payton was out coached. Perhaps we need a reminder of the double reverse against Tampa.

In time, Bobby will wish that he kept his mouth shut. Being a father is priority #1 for anyone with kids. He is not acting in a manner that will do anything to help his son. He will be very uncomfortable at the old parents/coaches bbq.
Don't be surprised if Lonergan just got his break to be the starter.

Bobby and I are close. I boo'ed the eff out of him when they blew that Philly playoff game, and he, in turn, flipped me off.

I kinda think Lonergan should be starting anyway. T Bob looks hurt and Lonergan has looked good in his limited time starting

Might as well play the healthier guy who might be as good or better anyway

Bobby Hebert was one good QB that played at the next level. Now he is giving you his objective opinion. What do you expect? And how much do you really know about the whole situation?

For the Seniors and other LSU players, playing on Senior night in Tiger Stadium this coming Sat. night:

Point taken. It's common knowlege, but you are right. I edited. If you remove the quote, all is well.

I don't see what everyone is getting all pissed off about. He is 100% correct and he didn't blame any players. He has a sports radio show and it's his job to talk about this stuff. I am not a Miles fan but it's hard to argue with his results until recently but he makes a lot of questionable calls. It just took what happened last weekend for the media to call him out on all of them.

Then you don't know what you are talking about. I've been at worst on the fence about Les for a while, I've never been part of the Miles sucks brigade and still don't think he sucks, I just now have serious concerns about his ability to maintain this program at an elite level. While I don't expect to win the NC ever year, I don't think we should be happy at 8-4. 10-2 and the Cap 1 bowl is a nice season, it should not be the ceiling for LSU at this point.

I also think terms like out coached get over used, but really have no meaning. Losing a game you "should" have won =/= being out coached. You need more detail. Running a double reverse when all you need to do is kill the clock to win is fricking retarded and being too cute. Letting 16 seconds burn off the clock at the end of a game you are losing and are out of FG range = inexcusable.

extreme statements like that are always stupid.

ah, so now not only can the players not say anything, there parents cannot say anything either?

come on, do you really need to protect les that much? he is a big boy making the big bucks, and he has to be able to take criticism, from where ever it comes from.

why are you wanting to protect coach miles? there are many on here that think that he needs to go. not merely for the boneheaded mistakes made at om, but for the play calling, refusal to play the better players but most importantly the overall direction of the program: downward.

Your post says exactly why people are pissed. Everyone is saying this is an objective analysis, yet he doesn't criticize any players. I think if this was really "objective," he would criticize players who need to be criticized, like the O-Line and his son. However, you don't see one instance of him criticizing his son's blocking skills, or the lack thereof, when it is obviously warranted.

I was thinking the same thing. At least Miles has one ring to point to...Peyton has nothing as of yet.

I wonder if this is actually true. Saban averaged 3 losses a year, and that was with Shula and Zook on the schedule. More importantly, I haven't seen anything that indicates that the most talented players aren't playing; I'd like to see more of Shepard, but really I have no idea what he does in practice, combined with the fact that he's got competition from other highly touted recruits. Reuben Randle seems to be the #3 receiver, which I have no problem with because Tolliver was also the #1 receiver in the country his year, and Lafell would have gone in the first 3 rounds last year despite his hands.

That's a D-bag move on his part and I think one he will regret. This is kind of liek the meltdown on the OT with that guy calling out his sister.
