Let’s do it to get a spark. We also have to improve our OL.

If Bama embarrasses us as I expect they will, we might get lucky and get a knee jerk firing

I agree and In fact I've begun to question just how good Raymond really is. His CB evaluations of kids less than elite as prospects have been less than good, his CBs technique isn't and never has been on par with the elite DB coaches and he has constantly mismanaged his numbers. I'm beginning to think Chavis and Aranda covered his flaws quite a bit with their expertise and schemes. May be a knee jerk reaction to how bad they've been this year and his job is safe for sure but I don't believe he should be above reproach any longer by our fanbase.

Our DB play was better under Cooper than Raymond. I like Corey but he is not ready to be the DC at LSU. We had the MALVETO disaster. O cannot afford a repeat. If LSU replaces Bo, Go out and get a proven DC.

At the very least the players would play hard for Raymond. They don’t give a frick out there right now playing for Bo

Our secondary was weak last year and is probably the weakest part of our D this year. Maybe Raymond needs to go.

Tre White and Morris Claiborne weren’t elite prospects when LSU found them.

Would be a terrible knee jerk reaction for minimal (possible) short term gains. Raymond has been a coach for over 10 years and during that time no power conf. school have come calling to hire him as a DC. Generally there is a reason for that.

Promoting him would mean O would have to make a big decision at the end of the season. Keep him as DC, or hire someone else and ALMOST ASSUREDLY lose Raymond from the staff. No reason to unnecessarily risk losing one of your best coaches and recruiters to, maybe, go 5-5.

You play out the season with Pelini. If O wants to make a change then, so be it.

I'm with you.

I've seen technique and failure on an individual level for the CBs that tells me CR is part of the problem (adding to Bo's woes), not the solution.

White was a 5* and Claiborne was before Raymond was here.

Our secondary has no clue what coverage we are running, don't think promoting their position coach is the answer.
