Dunno. The reason I want him to win is because I like Ole Miss, I like their fans and I like Bianco.

Just ran into a young Ole Miss fan in the Salt Lake City airport. He’s heading to Omaha, but going to be late for game one. Good kid.

LSU fans kinda harsh in this thread…
Mike Bianco's stroll to the mound is on par with Jim Wells. They
have Skip Bertman's walk down to a T. That's all I got..

There's no such thing as a "former" Tiger. Once a Tiger, ALWAYS a Tiger!

He's not at LSU, he's coaching the Black Bears now. And why do I want them to win, exactly? I don't get the logic on here sometimes.

Played and coached at LSU, wanted the LSU job and was rejected. His son came to LSU because of his dad’s experiences and you want to shite on him? You are a loser.

I'm in my mid 40's so I completely understand the LSU/Ole Miss rivalry in all 3 major sports, and I am a DIE HARD LSU fan. With that said, I'm pulling for Bianco. Dude is an LSU alumnus, former assistant coach, and Skip's protégé. I vividly recall Bianco smashing a late inning HR in the '89 CWS against Miami which turned out to be the difference in the game, ultimately advancing LSU. Also remember him going ballistic on the umpire in the '96 CWS championship when Chad Cooley didn't hold on the that fly ball. Dude made his bones as a coach at OM, but he is also a Tiger. LSU has no dog in the hunt this year, so I'm pulling for Bianco, Skip, and the SEC overall to conference dominance.

I did not want him for our coach but i am pulling for him. The ones that aren’t are just too young to remember him playing here i suspect. Other than that i do t know why you would not pull for a guy who gave it his all while playing for the tigers.

And after Ole Miss wins it and has one title in last 22 years, how many has LSU won in last 22 years?

I have not personally experienced everything LSU/Ole Piss during my time, but have heard endless stories from my pops, uncles, and even grandfather and have been a rabid LSU sports historian since about age 8 so I actually have a pretty good idea.

You sound weak. You’ll probably buy an Ole Miss CWS shirt to have this memory forever.

So you’ll be pulling for Alabama in football because Mettenberger is on staff. Cool, we’ll remember that.

Silly you. Not even a close comparison. There are only two teams left. One has a head coach and players I know nothing about. The other is a member of the Southeastern conference but more importantly their head coach is a former player and winner at LSU and help make the LSU baseball program a blue blood
