I didn't think they liked LSU in Shreveport. According to many here, everyone is an Arkansas fan up there.

They were put up in 2007, although the know it alls will dispute. I drove that way 3 times a week and watched it being built that year.

I travel to NO, BR, Laffayette quite a bit for business but usually hit 49 through coushatta. Last week was the first time in ages that I went 49 all the way from shreveport. It was a nice surprise to see the LSU setup.

Also, did I see a flag pole a ways down with more LSU stuff?

Yes.

eta: I think the ones with flags is the one that says: "Welcome Home Tiger Fans." or something of that nature

I am very disappointed in this thread. The OP should be suspended for the Auburn game.

Screw you, Junior. I've been a fan since I was five years old and that was 50 years ago. And my Dad who died last year at the age of 91 never missed listening to a game on the radio or watching it on TV.

We make the trek to Baton Rouge for every home game and go to many away games, as do thousands of others from North Louisiana.

I would put my knowledge of ALL LSU sports history up against yours any day of the week.

Yes, the flag pole was erected just prior to the 2007 championship season. For the longest, there was a Jacob Hester jersey, and I believe a Matt Flynn jersey displayed on another "flagpole" there as well. There is also a painted wooden sign that says "this is Tiger country" or something along those lines.

As previous posters have stated, the "wall" with the LSU murals that is a few miles down from the original display, came a few years later.

they act like they're relevant. It's not like I49 is on the way to Ruston and they have to see it all the time.

You do realize Shreveport has a significant sized LSU alumni population, don't you?

thank you. LSU fans are big up here, it's just the damn Cowgirl fans all around. I can't fricking stand it.

Talk about butt-hurt. I think a lot of it stems from a large number of their students and alum are also LSU fans that attended Tech just for school or stay near home. I know several that did so they could essential commute and save money. Or sometimes parents just knew better than to send their party kid to BR.

Why? The Saints were mostly irrelevant until the past 5 or so years. The Cowboys have been fairly consistent over their lifetime as a team. Shreveport to Dallas = 180 miles. Shreveport to NO = 310 miles. Plus before I-49 it was a huge pain to get to NOLA due to almost 2/3 of the trip didn't have interstate. So given the proximity and general relevance over their lifetime it makes sense the Cowboys are more popular there.
