BH Knew it was Coming..

The kid had a ton of pressure on him, had to know it was coming. I'm sure many of us can empathize with Harris and his situation. When I was younger, I lost a job where I just couldn't get it done. The weeks leading up to my termination were terrible, the pressure was enormous. Now take that and imagine working in front of 100,000 and millions around the country.
I'm not going to get down on the kid for running off the field or being upset. He's been a victim of terrible coaching and an inept offense that he failed to make go.
I appreciate the young mans handwork and sacrifice.

It's as much the staffs fault as it is his.

You're right and that worries about the QB recruits that are watching all of this take place and other teams that are recruiting them are reminding them everyday.

I like the idea of two quarterbacks. If one isn't moving the team, let the other one take over.

Etling came in and moved the offense to 3 consecutive TDs with the same line, skill players and coaches.

Your post was excellent except for this. Cam was an NFL coach and coordinator. Miles was an NFL coach. You can disagree with them, but you lose all credibility if you say they're terrible.

BH has had every opportunity possible to be LSU's QB. he failed. it's no ones fault but his own.
this "victim" crap is major misrepresentation. the young man did his best and that's all he can do.
I also appreciate his hard work and very much KNOW that it will pay off in life as he goes forward. hard work is an essential to a successful life, imo.
he's LSU and that's enough for me. also, have you ever considered that he is actually relieved right now. maybe what he needs is to take a step back and reevaluate, or just relax. BRANDON HARRIS needs to determine what went wrong and if he takes your weak attitude he'll never succeed.
he and he alone is responsible. my hope is that he matures and comes back more relaxed and takes his job back; he is certainly talented enough.

Agree to a certain point. He had every chance to prosper at LSU with the coaching staff. It's amazing to me that when you take into consideration the number of practices/workouts BH has had since he arrive on campus that no one was able to get his footwork and mechanics together.

That's hard for me to imagine that any athlete that has worked as hard as these kids have to become highly recruited athletes would be relieved by a benching. I could be wrong though, I've been wrong before.

Can you honestly say they didn't work with him at all? And if they spent numerous hours working with him and he can't get it done, then it's on the player.

I blame Coach Miles for insisting on making him a pocket passer when in actuality Brandon would probably make an excellent quarterback in a spread offense. Even when the few times LSU runs the read option, the read is already pre-determined.

How do you know they haven't worked on it with him and he is just not taking it in? There are a lot of guys that are easy to coach and a lot that aren't. Coachability is a real thing and I would doubt very seriously nobody has worked with him on that

Agreed, which begs the question, why couldn't Miles see the difference between Harris and Etling and pull the trigger on the switch? Someone on here was talking about Miles and his NFL coaching experience......... I don't know much about football, but even I could see the difference in the pocket presence and accuracy, especially in the short game.

Speaking of the sacrifices made during his HS days and earlier, the work put into becoming a 4 or 5 star athlete.

I think you are just practicing the "grass is greener" concept. if he was reasonable accurate with his throws and made better decisions I would tend to see your point but you still have to be able to make the throws in a spread. hell, the short and medium throws are more important. do you even know the spread? they throw a lot.
