Call me crazy, but I think shep will end up being the best deep threat on the team. He looks like he is getting more separation then obj. And his catching is coming along nicely.

He is a better deep threat as far as seperation is concerned but he is not better at catching the ball.

He's likely going to get single coverage. The opportunity is there.

Dreaux,

I love Shep and will support him no matter what, but he's never caught a pass longer than 33 yards, so I'm apt to say OBJ is a better deep ball threat.

Ask yourself whether Shep could have made that circus catch Beckham made.

I'll wait.

Shep had his own circus catch earlier in the game.

Obj is a much better receiver and can be trusted to catch the deep ball where shep can't.

Where I think she should play is the runningback during pass plays where he goes out for short passes,as the dump off man,and is one on one with a linebacker.

Once met checks down and no one is open down field ,he can get rid of the ball to shep, where he can beat the linebacker and maybe run for good yardage. Also, the quick swing pass to shep, just like the passes BAma used last year with great success to their runningbacks would be great plays for shep.

I'm just glad that it's close enough to discuss. OBj broke off his route Sat. on one play that I think would have been a TD. Looked like he misjudged the ball.

Confidence on Shep's part could prove big.

since shep drops the easy passes and catches the hard ones, he may be able to.

obj is better than Shep. Every time Shep touches the ball it seems he can't stay on his feet it's like the turf monster grabs him .

or a perfectly thrown pass that hit him right in stride that could/should have been a TD pass, but he let it carry him out of bounds because he was grabbed by the turf monster again. i've seen shep make two circus catches in his career, one against WVU and one against Kentucky, but I've also seen him drop routine catches.... routinely. i don't even know why this is a question. OBJ is the best deep threat on the team.
