You seriously can't tell me you watched that game and thought he did good?

Difference between Brennan and every other LSU QB in history is Brennan got to start in a pass first offense and the others didn't. He had decent stats Saturday but that doesn't change the fact that he didn't look good.

Tommy Hodson - 15/22, 193 Yards, 2 TDs

He did that as a Freshman, upsetting #7 Texas A&M

You watched a game where a qb in his first start threw for ~350 yards with 3 touchdowns AND DIDNT HAVE A GREAT DAY and you aren’t excited about his potential?!? frickING HOW?

He had a statistically great game and has massive room for improvement.

The game is going to slow down for him. He’s going to get better chemistry with these WRs. The offensive line is going to get better and gel.

But instead of waiting for those things to happen this whole board is going full retard and wanting to throw the whole damn thing away because we aren’t the greatest offense to play college football anymore.

It’s fricking insane.

He's a 4th year junior.

Showed some upside.

Wasnt able to make many plays with his feet. Often was held short of 1st downs when he scrambled into open space.

That's a terrible sign in modern college football.

Y’all keep saying this like you didn’t actually watch the game. This game was not played in a vacuum or a box score. You know who DID have a great game? Our fricking punter was the SEC special teams player of the week.

Brennan fricking sucked. I’m sorry, he just did. If you watched that game with any ounce of objectivity you saw it. I’m not giving up on him, not wanting him replaced, not saying he won’t get better—maybe even MUCH better.

But if you’re gonna keep dropping 350 with 3 touchdowns like he did that in the flow of some normal game, I’m gonna be calling you out on your bullshite. Cause that shite ain’t the truth.

Why you guys do things like this I will never understand. He had a lot of issues in the first game. Most people are not saying he needs to hit the road already and we have no idea what he’ll become. Better or worse. Because we’ve seen both happen. Just because he threw for 300 plus yards does not mean he’ll become a great qb. Just because he looked lost at times and didn’t read the field well does not mean he’ll never get it together and improve.

Why you guys get offended by people calling out his short comings in the first game I will never know.

Think he was a redshirt freshman but he was playing his first game. I remember that. I also remember Wendell Davis had a great game catching the ball with a couple nice plays. And we were awed by Sammy Martins great speed.

And for one thing... if you (not you specifically) are not going to count the “garbage time” INT at the end of the game, then you shouldn’t be counting his garbage TD pass either.

It was 4 quarters, with an offense and a defense. We even had downs and shite!

Of course he “did that in the flow of a normal game” wtf does that even mean? Did he look bad, even lost, at times? Yea he did. Did he also make some fricking great throws? Sure as frick did. I saw way more to be optimistic about where Myles is concerned than this board did apparently.

If Joe Burrow threw it you would’ve creamed your pants at the genius of it.

I can tell by this post that you looked at the stat line and didn’t actually watch the game.

Yes you may have been in a room with the game on the TV, but you weren’t actually WATCHING.

You can make this exact same statement about:

Jarrett Lee
Jordan Jefferson
Anthony Jennings
Danny Etling
Etc
Etc

Every single one of those quarterbacks played within an offensive philosophy that kept them from excelling. Myles doesn’t.

Lee and Jefferson took us to a title game too.

We said all offseason that we can’t compare Myles to Burrow. That if Myles just had 60% of Burrows production then the offense would be just fine. Well he’s on pace for that number and here everyone is comparing him to Burrow.
