Lets be fair, Les Miles has one of the highest winning % in the toughest conference in the land over the last 5 seasons and as someone else has pointed out already Coach Miles has beaten almost all on the list.
Top 10 for sure.
Top 10 for sure.

quote:coaching perception. im pretty sure nick saban has never lost a game
I love how rational thought goes right out the window when talking about saban. Two games ago the best coach in the world took a team with 4 first round draft picks and blew a 21 point lead, at home, to their biggest rival.
he took the most talented team in america and finished 4th in his division.
How impressive.
im not saying hes bad, hes not, hes great, im just saying lists like this are dumb. theres no "best" coach. theres 10 or 20 really good ones who all have different strengths and weaknesses.

Perception is everything!
nationally, CFB fans see Saban as a great coach and they forget about the losses to the ULM's of the CFB world.
they look at Miles as this goofy bastard that eats grass and think he just gets lucky. They dont look at his records against top teams, against OOC teams and against these same coaches they themselves think are better than Miles.
but even if we had the chance to get Saban back as HC, i personally wouldn't take it.
I think its his ability to recruit and win, his quirkiness and his i don't give a damn about what people think of me attitude that makes him one of the best coaches

I like this guys list because he didn't just take the teams with the best record year after year and say "these are the best guys."
LSU and Bama bring in 4 and 5 star guys year after year. Just like when Tressel was on these lists i always wondered "what could a guy like Pat F. do with this talent."
I love what Pat does at NW and am happy he gets some recognition.

Chris Peterson hasn't done nearly enough to be on that list.
