1) Vandy loses to Cal St.

Vandy is the best team in this side of the bracket. Best chance at beating them is if they face Lange.

2) TCU loses to Cal St.

TCU has the deepest pitching in the whole tournament. Facing them once is better than having to face them twice. And Cal St. only has only Eshelman, who we would have to face, but if we get passed him, our chances are much better in game 2.

Not sure about that. If TCU beat Fullerton, we would have to play them Thursday. No way Eshelman goes Thursday, right?. I would think we want to face TCU to get into the Champ series.

They'd pitch him on short rest if it means the end of their season. I expect us to do the same

It's a daunting task no matter how you look at it. We'll have to beat every team in this bracket at least once, but I really hope we get the chance to knock out Vandy tomorrow with Lange, it all starts there.

As for Fullerton/TCU, it's either Eshelman or 2 games against TCU's staff, likely with Morrison back. Tough choice, but I agree I'd rather take my chances with Eshelman. Hopefully Lange and Bain will come up big to get us there.

absolutely he would. He's done from yesterday. Wouldn't throw again until then. Short rest but now's the time. And he wasn't extended due to the shortened game.

No question if we can get to Fullerton to win the bracket, it's our best option.

Florida will win it all, their bracket side is easy and the way they are playing since sec tourney is impressive

I agree, but you just never know what will happen.

The MLB draft would disagree with this statement.

Doesn't matter who LSU faces tomorrow; if they can't win one game with Lange on the mound, this whole season was a mirage.

Seems TD Ameritrade Park is where Tigers' dreams go to die. God, do I miss Rosenblatt.

You mean Garza right? 8th round pick.

Yesterday's loss had nothing to do with the park.

This is the only questionable part.

Eshelman is a stud. If TCU is the team we have to beat twice, they'll throw the guy we've already seen on Saturday. That could be somewhat of an advantage for us?

Agree...and you only have to beat them once vs. having to beat them without Lange and then again.

But we will face him anyway. If CSF loses, they'll throw him Thursday against us. I'd rather face him Fri/Sat along with the rest of their staff rather than TCU which is great from top to bottom.

Yeah, it's a tough call. Assuming we face Eshelman either way, and not factoring in short rest, I'd rather see TCU's and Fullerton's #3 guys in the other games.

We sure seem to get the "deer in the headlights" effect at TD.

My second trip here and I'm still waiting to see the Tigers "play"

On three days rest? Wouldn't we welcome that?

ETA: And how do you know this? It's not like we're going to throw Poché on Thursday.
