Maybe it's because I'm a biased LSU fan, but McCune and Gausman may be the best Fri/Sat combo in the NCAA right now, and it's even more scary because they are both freshmen.

Anyone else got thoughts on them?

They're not but they're excellent.

I was trying to think of other good ones this year, I'd say that the UF duo (well trio really) probably has them beat, couldn't really think of anyone else, but it's hard to follow NCAA baseball for me

Don't know much about them since they are out west, I don't really keep up with west coast baseball too much. I'll take your word for it though, still a hell of a combo for us

Not best 1-2 combo, but you would be hard pressed to find 2 freshman that mean more to a teams pitching staff than the cune and Gausman do

HUGE no. They're great, but come on. UCLA owns this.

Yea, I was, but I honestly didn't follow baseball all that much at the end of last year (I know I know I'm a terrible fan, but my NHL team was in a playoff run so I dedicated myself to that).

ucla, tcu, florida, vanderbilt, texas (if green gets back to his old self), maybe more those just off the top of my head.

UF is up there, but UCLA is easily the best.

Nope, especially from an La. native, but I've loved the Flyers since I was like 6 or 7 and have stuck with them . They are looking good again this year

Yes...maybe the best 1-2 freshman duo, but not in the NCAA. Idk how you can say that after Florida shut our arse down just last weekend. Mccune and gausman threw great, and were not even close to the cause of us losing...but as good as we were- uf out pitched us

Yea, I probably got a little carried away on it, but I'd agree on the freshman duo...
