Alleva and Alexander must go. Do we really trust these idiots to handle the firing and hiring of another coach?

Look at the mess that was created with these two idiots. Last year's miles situation was a complete disaster. It made LSU look like complete fools.

We had the best basketball player come to LSU that we ever will see. That ended with not making the ncaa tournament and a complete team meltdown and refusing the nit bid.

PM is the only person who lived up to what the baseball team was supposed to be this season.

I don't trust these fools to make any decisions regarding anything to do with LSU. Hopefully the big money guys learned their lesson from last year and realize that before we can get to where we are supposed to be they need to put the right people in charge at the top of the mountain.

What pisses me off most is that it's not the players fault. I don't even blame Harris for this fiasco, even though he didn't play his best football.

Miles refuses to adapt and do what's needed for this team to win. And the people above miles refuse to make LSU what it should be.

I have no clue. I would guess that it has to come from the big money donors.

F. King really does need to take his liberal arse back to California. He wants every student at LSU to be from the "under-represented population" and on the Pell Grant. Frick him.

Alleva no longer has any role to play, at least in this particular ordeal.

Hell, if I'm him I'm intentionally sitting back and watching. Let someone else get on their knees to F King Alexander (as you promise to give over X% of all TAF donations). Let someone else round up the TAF money (again) for a buyout. I'd turn my phone off till Nov.

I'm no Alleva fan , but at least he saw a problem last year, wanted to fix it and had a plan in place to do so.

That's more than we can say about anyone else in the administration.

Alleva is completely incompetent, but from what we know, we were on the verge of reeling in Jimbo last year - which would have been a sensational hire.

The real antagonist here is King Alexander - the man has no ties to Louisiana, LSU, and couldn't care less about the quality of the football program. Yet, somehow, he's the one that gets to call the shots, as evidenced by what happened last November.

The donors will lead Alleva in the right direction. King, however, is a huge threat to the future of this program.

I would presume the LSU Board of Supervisors.

I said in another thread that Mark Emmert was the best thing to happen to LSU. When he and Saban arrived, the good ole boy network that had permeated LSU for so long got pushed to the side and we saw what happened. Sadly, it's taken root again.

Agreed.

Harris isn't going to win the heisman. But we don't need him to. I still think he has the arm and talent to make this offense good, but the play calling just continues to put him in some bad situations.

Roll him left on his opening pass of the game? Why? Why not roll to his strength?

And for the life of me, it baffles me how their qb was tossing it to wide open receivers, yet Harris had to thread he needle on a lot of his throws. The last int was bad, no avoiding that criticism. But we really should not have been in that situation to begin with.

I think this was one of the most embarrassing moments in LSU sports history. It wreaks of "I'm taking my ball and going home." Very sad day for LSU basketball. Joe Alleva should of taken care of this but did not. Horrible. Denny Crum did it at Louisville and I think it was a huge mistake.

Agree....Alleva is a snake and F King is with him 100%. They both have to go.

This thread eloquently demonstrates why the RANT is not credible and can be easily dismissed by those who can actually make decisions.
ALleva wanted to make a change last year.
But morons on this board want to hold him responsible for Miles not being fired , apparently for other, unrelated reasons. Perhaps they are just morons.
I am not apologizing for ALleva, but this is not on him.
It's on Jindal, Jindals BOS and F King Alexander.
If you want to discuss this issue constructively, at least inform yourself a little bit.

Joe Alleva has been a complete disaster. He hasn't been able to name a decent basketball coach. What in the world makes anyone think he's going to be successful naming a new head football coach. Football is the economic engine of this university. Les absolutely has to go however Alleva really is the bigger problem here

The goal with that type of team is to make it to the CWS. That's as high of a ceiling as you can put on a goal in my opinion. Of course you want to win it, but the expectations of NC or bust is insane to put on a coach when determining his job security. If you call two seasons ago underachieving then he greatly overachieved this past season having to replace all of that.

I'm on the fence with Alleva, because from all accounts he had fisher locked up and got overruled ....but there's no doubt F King needs to go...not only did he screw up the Miles' situation and meddle in something he has no business in, he has unnecessarily embarrassed our university nationally on the academic side as well.

I have no allegiances to Alleva, wouldn't mind him getting the Axe either. Whether he was overruled or not, he played a part in the whole cluster duck. The only thing that worries me about firing Alleva is prolonging this whole process because obviously the new A.D. would hire the new head football coach, so the coaching search wouldn't even start until the new AD was hired.

Number one: hire a public relations firm to handle the transition.
