Miles overall record:

To succeed at a high level as a coach, you have to expend a tremendous amount of energy. When you can no longer sustain that kind of energy level, teams have to move on. I am not sure that Les has the fire that he did when he first arrived on the scene.

Crap on stats!!

Last two games we melted down and had our azz handed to us!

7-0, prior to meltdown, this begs questions!

We cannot collapse that way unless THERE IS A TERRIBLE REASON, it's not what I want.

In the 2 years prior to Saban taking over LSU, we went 7-15, while the two years prior to Miles, LSU went 22-4. I'd say that kind of helped him to start off stronger.
No offense, but it's unfair to take away what was accomplished in the mid-2000's due to LSU's record before Les took over. If you do, then you have to point the finger at Saban as well.

Sure, Saban left Les some good recruits to work with, but Gerry Dinardo did not leave a bare cupboard either. He had top 5 recruiting classes and started locking up the top state talent in the years leading up to his firing (1999). Immediately before Saban, LSU's record might not have been stellar, but the recruits were.

If you are taking credit away from Miles's early success, then you have to do the same for Saban.

Surely you're not implying that Bear Bryant was as good as Les Miles.

Miles 2008-2015 76-25
25 of those wins came within 7 points
22 of those wins came against non power 5 teams, all wins more by 7 points
Thanksfully, all 13 wins in 2011 were more by 7 points
That leaves 16 games where LSU won by more than 7 points (sprinkle in some wins between the 8-10 point range)

Saban players 2005-2007 34-6

You are kidding right? Clearly LSU was at exactly the same level when Saban and Miles each took it over right?

Are you this dense? Really? Are you stating that LSU talent in 1999 was anywhere close to what it was in 2004? The subsequent years? No one claimed Saban had no talent when he got here. Furthermore, DiNardo improved Louisiana recruiting significantly, but he didn't by any means "lock down" the state.

He also took on a ton of risky but talented players with behavioral issues. Hell, their best DB was kicked off the team by Saban. No one said LSU was void of talent, but their talent was not even close to the talent collected in 2005 and the losing culture still existed.

Ok, Let's take out his first 3 years:
22-4 for 85% with one l1 game season and a bowl game where Saban was checked out.

I am not even a Saban fan, but I am not going to let Lesphiles sit here and boast about his stats like he took over a losing team and turned them into some juggernaut.

Agendas...

How is using a 4 year time frame an agenda? that is the time frame that the seniors on this team have been here.. there is no one left from 2011, unless there are some redshirts that didn't play in 2011...the ones with the agenda are the ones that have to add in that anomaly of a season to try to justify keeping a coach that is 19-11 in the last 4 seasons of downward spiraling mediocrity

Look at how many times Bear was playing teams like UsC, Nebraska, Penn state, Notre Dame for his non conference schedule.
