The computers consider the B12 the toughest conference this year based on its W/L record versus non-conference schedule.

It is something that helps OSU and OU a lot at this point.

This can at least be settled on the field before the end of the season.

It does matter. If teams are lining up with one loss we could be shut out.

Lot of scenarios left even if we lose to bama.

3 1/1000ths of a point------a win over a ranked Auburn team will (should) make up that difference. I would think that would be something to fire up the Tigers next week.

People need to remember also that computers need data. The computers should be more accurate later in the season than they currently are.

Those are CBS projections, and they say the difference between the top three teams is miniscule.

The first official release of the BCS is due today. Also making its debut will be Peter Wolfe's rankings. Sagarin's and Colley's ratings are already available. The polls are out also, and the Harris folks still love LSU, which has made the race for #1 incredibly tight. The current projection has a difference of only .0030 between No. 1 Alabama and No. 3 LSU. Essentially, those three teams (with No. 2 Oklahoma) could appear in any order.

Not only are they projections, but they only projected using the top 25 teams in the computer polls. It may turn out to be right, but thread title is not accurate.

Damn NWS sunk us like a ton of bricks. Why would you schedule such good ooc games only to be drug down by NWS?

Damn, Memphis, Toledo anyone but that

Where does it say these are projections? If true, I will gladly edit title.

Well that was cryptic, CBS trying to pull a fast one. Title will be edited. Thanks for clearing that up.

The computers having Penn St. ahead of Oregon and WVU is a joke.

That is flawed as hell.
Take the NWST game out and the average is 43.67.

Under your evaluation, a 6-0 LSU team would be better than a 7-0 LSU team.

It'll work itself out by the end of the year. If LSU is in the running for the BCS title game, I really don't think there's a way NWSt will make a difference.

Now, next year...when we have Towson on the schedule without the strong OOC teams, it might be a different story.

As far as the computers go, this is 100% correct.
