I'm going for Stanford against Oregon so they can jump Bama.

Yep. Bama had their shot. They lost. If Stanford can get by Oregon, that's the match up.

Assuming Okie State loses. If they go unbeaten and beat a top 10 OU, they're in.

To be fair, they almost lost to two terrible team back to back and gained a spot

So it evens out

If Alabama played Stanford next week would you take Stanford?

I don't think there should be a rematch we beat them in their house, but it isn't irrational to think bama is better than Stanford based upon the performance of the two teams for a voter or a computer programmed rationally.

last night's game reminded of the baseball truth - "great pitching always overcomes great hitting."

Ark lost to 8-1 3rd ranked Alabama.
Oregon lost to 9-0 1st ranked LSU.
Oregon lost by 13 to #1
Arkansas lost by 24 to #3
Arkansas squeaked by Ole Miss and Vanderbilt.
Oregon won all of their games minus LSU by at least two scores.

Makes sense to me.

its easy to see why ESPN would want a rematch. If we had that great of ratings for this wks matchup, just think of what ESPN's marketing dept could do with a rematch. I'm sure the city of New Orleans wouldn't complain either.

Personally, I'd like to see Boise St jump everyone just so we could shut up all the Brandos out there. LSU would curb stomp them if we played in NO.

To be fair, perhaps future opponents can look at this tape for ways to slow down the LSU QBs/offense. Now, it is two totally different things to acknowledge and understand how to slow down an offense and to execute that game plan.

Yea and West Virginia gave Bama a blueprint of how to beat us through the air..blah blah blah..LOL
If there is team out there that has the offense of WV or Oregon AND the defense of Bama..that would be the way to beat us..LOL

Speaking of WVU, Bama's version of 2007 teams to pull against are both Stanford and Ok State. Because if either one makes it past Oregon or OU, it's over and all talk of rematch is officially done at that point. Of course, it goes without saying that LSU needs to keep winning as well.

I heard that.... Herbie was the only one with accurate observations.. when asked how OK. State would match up to LSU, he basically said they would not be able to handle our D line and that thier D was horrible...

I have a feeling with this LSU team that we will keep winning, there is something different about this team, the way that they have handled all the distractions that have presented themselves, shows the resolve of the team. I said it at the beginning of the year and say it now..if we stay focused, we win!!
