First 7 and a wing or two that can actually make 3s at a consistent rate and I see us being a tournament team next year.

That first 7 is tournament level IMO.

Add another Center, a PF, a SF, and two guards and we are cooking

I understand all the talk around Adam Miller and being a leader. But the fact that we haven't actually seen him in p&g and that he will be coming off an acl injury has Murray #1 for me. Murray imo was better than expected this year and seems to have a well rounded game combined with a poise needed in a leader.

If Gaines could learn to play with some control/discipline the sure.

Apparently, according to a very reliable source, Gaines was already leaving before WW was fired. Whether or not he’ll change his mind now we have a new coach, who knows.
I don’t think it was due to WW. Gaines was very disengaged at the end of the season, despite WW having his back throughout.

I’m hoping Taz gets to stay, he’ll be invaluable to a coach with no LA ties or experience, and he relates really well to the young players.

That’s sad to hear because Wade ran off the only local BR area kid to keep forcing Gaines in.

He posted a “thank you Louisiana” message on Instagram right after the loss. I think he’s gone

I agree with Murray over Miller. Good list overall but I could not even dream of disagreeing more about Wilkinson over Reid.

Reid struggled but he showed some decent potential down the stretch. He’s 10 feet tall and has the skill to shoot jumpers. There is something there. I hate to be mean but Mwani is one of the most stale offensive players I have seen for us, he doesn’t do anything but shoot wide open corner 3’s. Also Justice Williams was super disappointing, I would see him shoot a wide the eff open jumper and would know for a damn near fact that it wasn’t going in.

Who the frick is gonna draft a center who did nothing, and showed zero skills? Even if he developed into a decent college big, there is nothing about this guy that says he has NBA potential.

Pinson actually has a year, if he wants it.

Doubtful though

The guy is 6’11, started the entire year for a decent team, and did absolutely nothing. His arse would have been on the bench if not for Wade probably guaranteeing he would start.

All this talk about him showing potential is nonsense. He’s not a great rebounder, he’s not some awesome athlete, he’s not strong, he hasn’t shown any sort of offensive skills, and he isn’t some great big man defender.

This silly talk about his huge upside is wishful thinking from homer fans.

He doesn’t get the credit deserved to how he impacted on defense. He would commonly be switched on a guard and do fine. That’s impressive for a first year guy that size.

Sad to hear that, I truly hope he does come back. If nothing else for pure entertainment value of his ridiculous slams and transition blocks. Dude has ridiculous athleticism and played making less mistakes than last year.

Reid does nothing for me. He’s more skilled offensively than he showed, I’ll give you that, but he’s soft and unathletic. When a guy is soft he typically stays soft, and he was someone the opponent consistently attacked either via the PnR or switching. Down the stretch he averaged 9.9 pts, 5.8 rbs, 1.5 blks, 1.8 turns, and 7.4 fouls per 40 minutes. He was really bad, and shouldn’t have even seen the floor as the season progressed, but there was really nobody else to turn too.

It’s more about Reid than Mwani for me, but I would also never turn down a guy with some size on the perimeter that can defend and knock down corner 3’s. I think that’s more valuable than the nothing burger Reid provided.

Hope I am wrong but I can't see but maybe 1 or two these players staying. If I am right, and MM struggles out of the gate recruiting, it will be a very long and painful two years.
