Love Blakeney, but he always starts off cold with the three ball. Tonight, he never had a jump shot.

it's interesting to watch a mediocre team beat a talented team with smart efficient play. at this point in the season, last year's team was better than this year's and last year was a pretty big disappointment. this team just doesn't look good. interesting pieces, pretty good at the 2 man game, good in transition, effort disappears at times, too many bad shots, no defense for long stretches, if the outside shot isn't there they have almost nothing. don't expect a tourney win. jones still 0-fer.

They turned it over 22 times and shot 58% from the FT line.

The SEC Tournament??? Very few people care about that. The goal is to win the SEC Championship which is determined by the 18-game SEC schedule. After that, it's the NCAA Ty. The only way we should care about the SEC Ty is if we need some wins there to make the NCAA's.

Darcy shouldn't see the floor except for warm ups.

ER III, even tho hurt this game, is too slow to play the game we need to play. He has no lift and his post D is horrible.

Bridge is too short to be on this team. The drop pass from Simmons to him, even tho he was fouled on the way up, would be an easy dunk for any normal big down low.

If Victor is anything decent, he's all we got. Which to me is fine because our best lineup will be Simmons, Victor, Hornsby, Blakeney, and TQ. Bring in Gray and Patterson for a change of pace. Patterson needs to chill on the shooting tho. A few here and there are fine, but not everytime down the floor. Sampson is perfect to back up Blakeney. So that makes us 8 deep minimum. We can't trap and be effective with Malone and ERIII on the floor. This is where Epps should come in and get some minutes. So now we are 9 deep.

Bottom line to me is we will HAVE TO make outside shots consistently from the passes that Simmons will set up. And of course the perimeter D HAS TO improve drastically. Which to me is all about effort.

Is it possible to do a package buyout for Jones and Miles?

Belichick for Miles.
And Michael Jordan for Johnny Jones. If you say he doesn't really have any head coaching experience, I've got two words.. "SPACE JAM"

Too early right now but after the new year will give folks a better picture. Simmons gotta get that DAWG in him to finish off teams. Everybody else gotta contribute in some form or fashion. Right now is too early cause kids still trying to figure out their roles and how they fit on the court with Simmons.

They will get better.
If the situation arrives again Simmons takes the last shot but great teaching moment for CJJ.
Need to not forget they have Simmons on the floor. Sampson and Blakeny need to learn they don't have to shoot every time they get the ball haha.
Hornsby will be a big help when he get back.
Victor will help down low but they will always be at a disadvantage so don't get discouraged.
They will out run and out score most teams they play.
More full court press probably waiting til sec play to really utilize that. CJJ finally has the length and the depth to run the press most of the game.
