I think he's pointing to the fact that some "fans" aren't hoping he's successful, in fact some appear to be wishing he fails so they can say..."I told you so"! I don't get it either he's here now, the fan base is starting to look like a bunch of whiners... Kinda reminds me of how the Hillary supporters are acting about Trump's presidency. You'd think so many Trump supporters they have on here would be above all this pouting, considering how hard they went in on the Hillary protesters for doing exactly what they are doing now.

ridiculous post, Rockford.

I'm completely against the O hire, but I love O and fully acknowledge that he did very well as interim coach, is a great recruiter, and the players play hard for him.

That's all very good stuff. But it's not nearly enough to justify getting the permanent HC spot at an elite football school.

And just because we have different opinions on the hire, it doesn't mean we "have really miserable lives." My life is quite wonderful, thank you. I mean, jeez, it's a football message board. We can have differing opinions.

Now they are flooding the Recruiting Board with all kind of catastrophe syndrome bullshite. LSU fans are actually saying they hope we don't get certain players now. It's like they have studied all the post-Trump SJW meltdowns and are trying to "one up" them. It's hysterical.

Yeah they were in the Chris Allen thread wishing him well. I think there should be a purge, but I'm not in charge.

they have no intention of giving him a chance. their guy wasn't hired so they turn into spoiled little brats.

the fact he is the lowest paid coach in the SEC gives him incentives to win and get his pay up there. pretty much a capitalist thing and what makes America great. but these yo-yos are judging the guy on how much we pay him as if paying him more would have been a better idea.

I don't think we're working with the sharpest tools in the shed here. we are dealing with a mentality of "my way or you pay". juvenile.

These entitled punks do this for entertainment. They have no life, no future, just a shitty job,a skanky girlfriend who refused sex because they don't bathe. The Rant is in need of an epic cleansing . Snowflakes seeking safe places are rampant and have divided the populace for the worse.

This is the same cop out bull shite pulled by the Miles supporters. They equated people arguing they were right with people being HAPPY they were right. That's stupid.

The fan base pointing out problems with the hire is not whining. Sheesh. Are people really this fricking unaccustomed to having to deal with opinions other than their own?

And, just like a bunch of Hillary supporters, you equate disagreement with you as some form of hatred.

No. It's perfectly possible to simultaneously hope O is highly successful AND think hiring him was the wrong road to take.

This really isn't that complicated a thought process

I did not want O for head coach, but I applaud his removal of BDP.

I don't care how good of a recruiter BDP is. His coaching ability is much worse than his recruiting ability, and thus it renders him as an overall negative to the program.

Not even his award-winning BBQ can make up for that.

Sure it is. That's not the route some of these posters are taking. Bitching about shite before it happens, saying recruits who choose to go elsewhere made the right decision...that goes way beyond any reasonable qualms about the hire.

Perhaps. But. LSU just made a panic move that was obviously a panic move. People are going to react to that.

And before you question whether it was a panic move, know this. Saying it was a panic move is seeing it in its best possible light.

Otherwise, it just comes off as a discount coaching hire.

I'm sorry. If you asked for the best TV for Christmas your wife could find and she came home saying, "it was out of stock so I bought you this Hitachi 32" instead"...........

According to O fans he can do no wrong. If he wins its all on him and if he loses it was all on coordinators and players.

He nailed a top flight recruit for 2018 and got ripped here. Every one of his staff hires will be ripped just as much, with just as much sense behind it. Hate is so easy nowadays but when he is mocked for his heritage, that is beyond hate, that is just plain stupid. And there have been several threads here by haters mocking his family, his accent, his work ethic, everything about him as a person; not as a HC.

He fires BDP and talks about opening up to the offense: He's easily swayed by public opinion. If he had done the opposite, you'd say he was stubborn. He's the lowest paid coach in the SEC: You say you get what you paid for. If we gave him a big contract, you'd complain about him being overpaid. It would be comical if so many weren't dead serious about it. Some of you have really miserable lives and are incapable of seeing anything positive. So much for the happy go lucky Louisiana lifestyle.

We should have payed 50 Million for salary and buyout for Fisher or payed Harmon 7 mill. because he coached at OSU and beat OU and UL (Like Kentucky)even though he lost to Navy , SMU and Memphis. Curly Hallman looked liked a great hire once upon a time. (until we figured out Favre wasn't coming with him) I think Coach O is going to do great but if he doesn't it want mean that one of these other yahoo's would have, it will just mean we paid a lot less to find out.

The guy he just fired was more qualified to be HC at LSU and he wasn't near good enough to run this program...
Just looking at resumes-

Peveto had been a DC (2008 co-D.C. At LSU)
Coach O has never had coordinator experience

Both were Head Coaches
Peveto went 14-30 Northwestern State
Orgeron went 10-25 Ole Miss

I think the issue is the Coach O fanboys want everyone to ignore the fact that he isn't qualified to be LSU's head coach.

I don't know, for every negative or non-ecstatic post on O there seems to be a posse rushing to defend O. I think there is plenty pro-O sentiment here and it's on display in every string.

It's just that whatever side one is on someone is going to challenge it. And both camps think the other are idiots. That's the very nature of this forum.
