Not sure about beefense but I said we need to win the West. Dont recall saying anything about playoffs

it's funny how my opinion is that dumbass negative nancy's reside here.
I most definitely agree that winning 9 games this year (sans key injuries) would be a major disappointment but I also know that winning 11 games will not diminish the miles haters from calling for his head.

Just curious, but have the sunshine pumpers ever actually been right about something?
I've been right about 99% of the time

B
But I could realistically see a much improved team still go 9-3 just based on the level of competition. The three losses would probably be closer games, but it's not that crazy to think we could be much better but not have it show in terms of our record.
For the record, I am thinking 11-1 or 10-2. My guess is Florida (they're due) and Alabama are our two toughest games.

With the talent on this team, having bama and ole miss at home, we should not lose a game.
I know we returned more than usual but This seems like an annual trend. Then we end up with 3 losses

9 wins = fireable offense. But nobody in our current admin has the sack to do it.

From 2009- 2013 only 4 programs were able to win 9 games every year and lsu was one of them.
who cares....ancient history....youre hedging your bet before the season even starts.

With this talent...YES.. Miles is a GREAT GUY,,, SUPER GUY... But his job is to make sure HIS team outscores the other team... BOTTOM LINE... I don't care how he gets it done... I would rather win a game 10-9 gaining 100 yards of offense than lose a game 38-17 by gaining over 500 yards...

I'm going with "A".
I've re-watched a few games from last year and I believe we have the talent but I'm extremely discouraged by the effort and energy I saw from players on both side of the ball.
With the exception of starters Fournette, Dupre, Adams, Beckwith, Godchaux, and Key, there was MUCH to be desired of the team.
- T. White didn't play with aggression and got beat on the long ball several times and who knows what he was doing on punt return.
- Defensive backs such as D. Thomas and Corey Thompson were rarely in a position to make a play or an impact.
- Tolliver didn't know how to turn his head around and find the ball and seemed lost.
- Special teams lacked discipline, aggression, and execution of scheme.
- Linebackers had trouble picking up receivers and many times picked up the wrong one.
- Play-calling seemed predictable and disastrous very often. Case in point: There were often incomplete throws of 20+ yards on 3rd and short situations.
- Even though we had the best running back in CF there was never any aggression on 4th and short to retain possession of the ball like we did in the Jacob Hester years.
- Offensively, there never seemed to be very much rhythm. Very rarely did we establish and sustain dominant, time consuming drives.
- Bone-headed penalties were too plentiful; players playing with their helmets removed, lining up offsides, ineligible linemen down field. These are all discipline issues that need to be hammered in.
It starts from the top down. I want to see some scrappiness and FIGHT this year! Until I do, I will keep my expectations where they are.

It would be B, though not totally unexpected.

We have a 3 year qb and lots of studs on d...wr...rb best in the nation. 1 loss is the expectation.

Most on here would still give Miles a pass if this team only won 9 games.
The list of excuses would flow like;
A. Miles is a great family man
B. He's leads LSU coaches in most wins
C. Harris will be a senior next year
D. Next year is our year

Iles can lose 4 and he won't get fired. Norway after last year plus all of the government funding for flood relief.
