I never said they didnt.
I specifically said this...

Its hard to put national titles and playoffs

Do you see the SEC title in that post?

quote:

if we do that, it would be very, very hard for the committee to keep us out of the playoff

You still have no control over getting voted into the title game or playoffs.

quote:

that's pretty much BS.

If by BS you mean spot on.
Coaches and players have no control over getting voted into the title game or the playoffs. Cfb has the most subjective way of choosing its title game participants in all of sports.

I'm very aware of who's returning and who's coming in. Returning that amount of starters doesn't always correlate in quick transition to a new scheme like most assume.

C for "Catastrophic" and NC for "New Coach".

All is not black and white and might depend on how losses come.
What if the O is almost unstoppable, but D doesn't transition to 3-4 well?
I don't expect it, but stranger things have happened.

I guess it would still be a B same as all 9W seasons.

IMO, not playing in the SECCG would be a major disappointment.

It will take 10-2 or better to do so.

Therefore, 9 wins would be a major disappointment.

9-3 regular season would be a minor disappointment to me.

10-2 and I would be satisfied.

11-1 or 12-0 and I'd be ecstatic.

I do not understand all our preseason hype. We have a below average quarterback based on last year's performance. We have an average defensive line based on last year's performance. Our linebacking corps is not deep enough. Our special teams was terrible last year.

But, we do have talent galore at many positions.

I think we go 10-2 if our defense can come around and perform at an above average level. Note: our offensive rankings in the SEC in 2015 were better than our defensive rankings.

The dumb asses on this board are you negatigers who seem to enjoy sending our target recruits else where then complain when we don't win a national championship every year !

Don't forget the turds who shouted out from the roof tops in 2009 that LSU would never be relevant again in football as long as Les remained coach. Talk about being wrong!

Saban goes 9-3 in 2004 and everything is peachy, but Les goes 9-3 and the sky is falling. We either have some dumb bunnies roaming here or trolls.

As others have stated, it depends on how the losses occur. However, based on what we have returning compared to everyone else in the conference, 9-3 would be a major disappointment.

Harris will have to be better, but he still has the best combination of experience and talent of any qb we will face outside of Chad Kelly. If he can't get it done this year with the caliber of wr's and the best rb in college football, then that will be a huge indictment against him and our offensive staff.

We have hired what many consider to be the best young defensive mind in college football. The statistics of his recent defenses have been amazing. He comes to a defense returning multiple starters and getting another infusion of young talent. I think you would be hard pressed to find a defense in the sec with a better combination of talent and experience.

Finally, we have a special, generational type talent entering his final season. This is the type of season that he he said he chose our school for. We will be expected to capatilize.

I'm not saying we will run the table, but there are legitimate reasons for the expectations. 9-3 would be a huge disappointment that would probably lead to a mass exodus of players and a new coaching staff.

Priorities?

Listen kid, in case you haven't figured it out, this is a message board and the point of it is to talk about LSU football.
You are the stupid frick that chooses to take things so serious you have to bring up something that it so obvious to everyone else.... Kid getting hurt > wins and losses? No shite Sherlock

I get it though, posting dumb shite like you just did is a coping mechanism and a crutch..... it makes you feel better about your the mediocrity you have accepted in all aspects of your shitty life.

C. 9-3 sucks. Given that we play Miss St., Mizzou, R-Kansas, Auburn, Jacksonville St, USM, and USA.

9 regular season wins is crap with our experience, talent, and schedule. We should win the west at the minimum imo or Les should be gone.

I agree. The only way you are worrying about votes is if you are not the winner of the SEC which you can help by winning

Well I will say this, if LSU wins 11 games and makes the SEC title game, they need to win it.11-2 LSU that losses the SECCG may not get in.

Ask 2004 auburn if thats true.

There is no guarantee that the sec champ gets into the playoff.
Im pretty sure the voters wouldn't leave the sec champ out but there is still a chance that a p5 program to go undefeated and not make the playoffs.
