I hate the regional pairings in College Baseball, although I know it has gotten better the last few years, I would love to see two Louisiana teams in Omaha again someday.

Part of the issue is travel money. IIRC the NCAA is NOT on the hook to pay travel expenses under 500 miles.

Aaron Fitt said that the winner of ULL vs USA this weekend has a shot to host if the same team wins the sun belt tourney. His reasoning kinda said its hard to deny a team that wins the reg season an tourney of a 3/4 bid league. Fwiw

We all know it doesn't mean jack shite as long as we are a national seed 1-8.
I'd prefer not to see an SEC team sitting in the opposite regional.

If ULL wins the series this weekend against South Alabama they will be in 1st of the sunbelt which was i believe the 3rd ranked conference in RPI a few weeks ago(not sure if it still is) so its possible they could host a regional if they get to 1st in the sunbelt but i doubt it happens.

Based on? We won a tougher SEC last year and were a 7 seed. Imo that had a lot to do with our putrid performance in hoover.

If our RPI stays in top 4, we'll be a top 4 seed. You're forgetting that Florida was the #1 seed last year despite finishing third and they only made it one game further than us in Hoover.
