Would you rather LSU win the NC next in baseball or basketball? My answer is obvious (yes yes I'm still a baseball supporter), but what do yall say?

Since the next POSSIBLE NC out of the two is baseball, I choose that. Then, when the next basketball NC game rolls around, let's win that one. So yes, I'd rather win baseball next...

Much more NATIONAL EXPOSURE in Basketball. There are many many major populated cities who don't realize college baseball is even played. No Brainer............well that explains the baseball picks.

Since sitting in Alex Box (both old and new) on a cloudless Saturday afternoon is one of my favorite pastimes, I would say baseball.

There are only two major collegiate sports- football and basketball.

If baseball were considered a major sport, why can't you access it on ESPN.com?

Basketball....Not only because we've never done it but also because it's a better sport.

I like baseball, but I like basketball better. That's just me, so my vote's easily hoops for selfish reasons.

I'd bet that's not the case though with the majority of passionate LSU fans.

However, if one really would put what's in the best interest of LSU...winning a national title in hoops does way more to help brand recognition which really helps the school in countless ways.

The vast majority of the country views college baseball as we did here before Skip got here...which was frankly, not that much above interest in college tennis.

The fact that, as I mentioned earlier, women's basketball's average attendance figures easily eclipse college baseball's nationwide, speaks to the impact college baseball really has.

We see the passion here for college baseball, and it is special...but it is outside a handful of schools, the exception.

But I'd trade four of our five baseball titles (I'll keep the Morris home run) for 1 hoops national title right now!

I could never trade the 2000 title. Ever.

I can understand that. Everyone has their own special sports memories and attachments to them.

I could trade that one though, and would, for a basketball title. In fact as I said, I'd trade all but the Morris homer. That's how much a hoops title would mean to me, and I think it would mean so much more for LSU as a whole.

That Morris one is an exception in that it is one that is still replayed and brings LSU as much recognition as a college baseball title can relatively speaking.

Of course these are all silly hypotheticals and if taken that way no reason to be upset by anyone's take, unless one trys to go elsewhere with it as is sometimes the case.

I arrived at LSU in 1989. We had just come off a Final Four and Elite 8, CJ was lighting it up and Shaq and Stanley Roberts had landed on campus. I grew up on LSU basketball just like LSU football so I'm right there with you on wanting a hoops title.

The 2000 baseball team was just one of my absolute favorite teams in any sport. The quality of the young men on that team makes them stand out for me.

Hey, my niece's husband was on that 2000 team and Theriot is their son's godfather. So I'm with ya' good kids on that team. I still have the tape of it with my sister and niece getting on camera in the stantds.

I don't begrudge you for the sentiment, and I agree good kids on the team.

Conversely Skip for some reason chose to bring in some mercinaries the next year...I guess tyring to shortcut and win a title in his last year.

Changed the complexion of the team all together. Brought in a few hot dogs and flakes. And though they had some success it showed in the end with that 2001 team.
