Oddly coincidental that they're playing the "Thunder and Lightning" ESPN feauture right now during the rain delay.

I see that we are a number 2 seed in the SEC-T regardless of if we play or not. So, in the grand scheme of things, does playing this game really matter? In the eyes of the NCAA selection committee, does going 3-0 look that much better than going 2-0 against the same team?

Probably not. Maybe. Who knows? I just want to see us rub State's nose in it, personally.

If we win, we are co-SEC champs. So yeah I say it matters

Depending on how the field drains it can happen tonight. I agree it appears the worst has shifted north.

It matters and it doesn't... I love the thought of unfinished business i.e. they know it's florida's championship regardless... I like the idea of going into postseason with a chip of more to prove

But it's all coming from the SW which doesn't look too good. Weather is tricky though. We'll just have to see

Good point. That probably does carry more weight.

The SEC recognizes "co-champions" in baseball. The tie breaker process is only for seeding in the SEC tournament.

The players could always truthfully say they played on a SEC Champion team if they beat Miss St today. And I'm pretty sure LSU gets SEC Champion's rings for each player. I would think they would like that....

This game isn't going to start before 7:00pm.

Somebody's gonna have to make a beer run.
