I'm not seeing the rain being done by 5:30. The models are showing rain until 11, although I think the boundary could be through before then. Then again, the models aren't initializing that well on the current rain pattern, they could find a dry slot to play in, likely won't know until within the hour prior to the rain ending.

Well this blows. Sorry if already discussed in thread, but what is the plan if they cancel? I thought I remember someone saying it can't be played tomorrow. And I know the tourney starts Tuesday

That's good news, imo. I think they want to avoid a tie at the top of the standings if possible, and don't want to let one series go all 3 games while the other only goes 2.

The nasty storms didn't really get to Starkville. Now it looks like the rain shield is quickly moving from south to north. Don't see anything redeveloping to the south for now, so that's good news.

Radar doesn't seem to improve until 7:00-7:30. I'd hate to see a starting pitcher get warm, throw an inning or two, and then have an hour or two rain delay. They need to delay the start until they have the best possible window.
