Never realized how much Byrd looks like Raph Rhymes.

Me neither. Good candidate for a lookalike thread if we play Clemson in the next few years.

Based on the #43 shown in the OP, I'm boycotting my number based write up.

Sorry. I couldn't help it.

Also,
Has the Nate Fury hiring been discussed?
Do we think PM uses this in recruiting? "We don't win championships anymore, but I can guarantee you a coaching job in the future"

There was a thread about Dunn and Fury yesterday.
I don't have a problem with bringing in former players for the OPS roles. That's kind of all you're going to get there. It's an introductory role that helps guys get accustomed to all the non-on-field coaching duties that coaches have to do. And it helps give them on-campus recruiting experience. It also pays shite, so the pool your hiring from is always going to be young and without much experience.
What I learned yesterday after looking at the staff page on LSUSports.net is that for the first time, we have a video coordinator. And that is exciting to me. He worked in the Marlins org, with the Zephyrs. So he's got experience with the Trackman tech installed at the box, since all AAA parks have it also. That will help with in-season stuff and with recruiting when showcases and tournaments are hosted in the Box. It's how we decided to offer 2017 signee Mikhail Hilliard.

Didn't feel like starting another thread for it, but we no longer have to switch dugouts during regionals according to Kendall Rogers on twitter

It was even worse when the home dugout was automatically the 3rd base dugout. Then they fixed that. They're slowly but surely fixing the bad postseason rules.

Already done last year. The higher seed is now automatically home for Game 3 of a Super.

It's still dumb that it's a coin flip to decide the home team for the winners' bracket game.
For the most important game in the regional, the higher seed should inherently be the home team.

Yep... Rice ended up being the home team against us for 2 of the 3 games last year, only because they'd played an extra game as the visiting team.

Next up is the home/away selection during regionals

And then walkup songs in the postseason

Apparently a rule is being put into legislation to add 4 games in the fall as scrimmages basically.

I like that. They were voting at like 9pm central last night or later, so I didn't stay on twitter seeing what passed but I'm glad this one did.
Anyone know if the mandatory 25% scholarship rule was done away with?

so, those games won't actually count, will they? Didn't they talk about fall games that count a few years ago?
