I hate the value assigned to a “closer” to begin with. It doesn’t mean it’s even your best pitcher in the bullpen.

I think he’s part of a collection of guys they trust in the bullpen right now.
Coming in that spot doesn’t make you a closer tho lol. It wasn’t a safe situation or even close to one yet.
