Going up next week and looking to see if anyone knows any popular bars around the Dallas/Arrlighton area that aren't too far off from the stadium. Trying to get a feel of where everyone is partying next weekend.

Don't think there is much NEAR the stadium...as in walking distance.

LSU Alumni tailgate party at J. Gilligan's. Four minutes from the stadium, but you have to buy a ticket to get in. $60 includes: beer, food, shuttle to and from the game.

Also heard Sherlock's and Lonestar Oyster Bar are cool places in Arlington.

From what I remember of the areas surrounding the stadium, there's not too much within walking distance. Which is unfortunate because my hotel is right next to the stadium.

There are a few commercialized restaurants in the "area" but its like walking from the main gate to Walk-On's and you will be facing a zoo at the local Applebee's....Jerry's World is not a prime location for bars.....

Same here. Was hoping not to have to do a lot of driving once my group is up there. Guess I'm expecting this to be like going to Bama or Auburn and having a college like atmosphere. Thanks for the suggestions though guys, despite the shite that is going down at the moment.

We're staying downtown. Hotel is about a mile from Lizard Lounge for LSU block party with Bag of Donuts or a mile from HOB Dallas for Better Than Ezra concert. We still haven't decided which one we are going to.

Humperdink's is where every LSU fan started out at the Cotton Bowl - Standing room only by 11:00 am and the place is huge. We walked down the street to the 3rd Base Line Bar and Grill and had a blast.
You could walk to the Stadium from here but it's a hike - Me & my wife hailed a cab ($20 fare). Which is also the going rate for 2 beers at Jerry's world.

New place opening real close to the stadium and J. Gilligan. It's call the Grease Monkey, will have bands and stuff all weekend.
