Actually, the band hasn't been the same since Dr. Rouse.
It's hard to believe how bad the lines and marching are compared to when Dr. Rouse ran things.

It's a scholarship, not a salary. Plus, the students themselves don't have the final say on what they can play and when they can play it. It's not their fault.

It's upsetting to see from the time I was in the band, 2005-2008. We were the shite from shinola, don't care what anyone says. Linda ran the show and was quite spectacular at it. Mr. Wickes was very involved but LRM handled the details and dirty work at rehearsals. Losing her is the cause of what you see of the GBFTL today. Very sad to see as a TB alumni of the best section in the band.
