Reasons. Reasons matter. They’re not as strong as feelings on your resume buuuut there’s an argument for Bama having both in their corner. If reasons aren’t what puts them over the edge then idk what we’re doing anymore. Why even play the game? It’s all so simple if you let it be

Zero chance Bama is in over Texas. Their only shot was FSU losing tonight. Committee will never get another chance to leave the SEC out of the playoffs again.

I'd hate to sit on the committee! This is a no-win situation.

Yall are way over analyzing this.

There are 3 undefeated P5 conference champs. They are in.

Then there are 2 other P5 conference champs that actually played each other. That h2h will decide the 4th spot.

May or may not be the 4 best teams, but its the easiest to justify from the committee's perspective. Keeps meaning in the conference championships and regular season games.

This is really simple if yall quit trying to turn it into rocket surgery

If Bama didn't have that Auburn game I think they could have been considered the hottest team in the country and jumped pass FSU but you do have to look at the whole body of work. FSU had some close calls to but they are undefeated.

Not a single person in this thread has given me a reason why reasons doesn’t get bama in the playoff. Y’all just downvote and provide no substance to a valid argument

Like Texas beating Bama by double digits in Tuscaloosa?

Bama doesn’t like it then don’t lose. That’s why you play the game.

Hey, a lot of people still think Bama's better. That reason trumps any win over them, and any undefeated season by any other team.
