Out the gate he will prolly get a shitty apt paid for and like 3-5k a month

Not necessarily. Even average players get 50K+, with apartments and rental cars in small countries in Europe. He could be making a 100K/year and still have a chance at the NBA.

You know the game is different over there, right? I love how you act like you know it all about this. How much time you spent talking to current/recent former euro players? The Americans make a ton of cash. But go on and use an emoji to avoid taking facts when IM USING EXACT WORDS FROM PLAYERS.

In a situation like this, don't y'all think he should be able to come back if he cuts ties with the agent?

Even if he makes 60,000 grand a year it's more than he would make playing at lsu and he would be playing against better competition than the sec.

I don't think he made a mistake by declaring, but I don't get the thought process of hiring an agent so early.

Huh?
How is that better than getting coached up this season and actually getting drafted for millions?

Over half the country is struggling financially and of course he wants to improve his family's situation but staying another year probly gets him into the first round. And I'm not judging him I'm just saying based on history and his status he should've stayed. Having said that if quarterman can make a roster Blakeney should easily play his way onto a team during the season.

Some pretty shtty "fans" in this thread. It's ok to criticize the players or ex-players but damn you don't have to call them out of their names. Calling a good player who came to our sht show and had to carry an inept team by himself is just not right.

This happens all them time here and some of you need to check how you attack our own players. Yes, he made a bad decision but he thought it was right for him. The young man has a ton of potential. I'm not going to pile on his already embarrassing move because I selfishly hate that he chose not to play another year for my favorite team.

The smart move was to declare but not get an agent.
When you aren't viewed as top 80 in a draft of 60, then you come back.

If he is anywhere near smart, he'd enjoy himself playing basketball for money and meeting foreign chicks while showcasing himself for the league. They're aware of em

In China he can make a few million per year.

Justin Hamilton just came back from Europe for a 2 year $3 million deal. Saw him in person with the Nets by chance.

Often players that are just getting their start will take a contract from 0–300ish a month just to build their resume and hope they can move up. These contracts often include food, travel, and a place to live. Sometimes the teams will set the players up other jobs in order to make some extra money.

Sounds like 1950's NFL...

I just hope he made a knowledgable decision and considered this possibility when he decided to hire an agent.

I'd hate to think that he was caught off guard and that he regrets that decision.

I hope he took three years of one language thats not english.
Some guys marry woman in europe or russia and make a life.

Some work on game and make NBA

Some come to a bad end.

Pray for him to make good decisions.

He can get coached up in Europe and get paid.
If he gets better then a nba team will sign/draft him.
There is zero guarantee that coming back to lsu is goung to result in getting him drafted.
