Like many of you, I died this weekend. Not literally, but my heart was crushed by the program as a whole. Worst feeling I've had since Miles became the coach.

Am I cautious about the future? Of course, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna pout and b!tch about what coulda/shoulda/woulda been. Put the mistakes in the past, try to learn from them, and move forward.

So, without further ado, I'm back on the Coach Miles bandwagon. Say what you will, but I remember Coach Tom Osborne from Nebraska telling a group of us, "If you do not believe in the program, the program will never work for you." This philosophy is why he is one of the winningest college football coaches of all time.

Well, I believe in this program. I believe in the players who work day-in and day-out to bring happiness to the millions of Tiger fans across the globe. I believe in the Administration who puts us in a position to win year-in and year-out by providing the best facilities and equipment to the players and coaches. I even believe in the coaches, though fallible as everyone is. I also believe in the fan base. Yes you, the true loyals. The ones who have stressed at the losses and have celebrated the wins, the ones who have thanked the players and coaches for the good times and criticized them in the bad times. You too are fallible and I still believe in you.

Winning two National Championships has made me one of the happiest people on earth. Those memories will never leave and I will constantly relive them....from my booze-laden joyous celebrations in Atlanta to New Orleans. We've had it better than 90% of the teams in the SEC.

I am grateful to be an LSU Tiger and proud of my team, including the coaches, and even when they make mistakes that bring us all temporary, blinding rage.

Forever LSU and Let's GEAUX TIGERS!!!

Thank you for calling us back to reality. As disgusted as I have felt, I can't turn my back on LSU. And until things change that includes Les Miles, he's the coach for now, and that kind of makes us family. So...

You are correct Sir. We have a program that never gives up, fights to the end, and gives us PRIDE.

College football is, in essence, an experience with kids.

If is great. IF, Jasper misses fielf goal wide Right from 49, we talk about the great heart, fight, and effort from our team.

We get way too invested in what is, always, a GAME.

I never died....but held my breath after the accusations at Miles that he lied about the "spike" call. I was even willing to forgive him for that; given the heat of the moment and the fact that he didn't have the opportunity to look at replays of his signals on the sidelines like the rest of us arm-chair QB's. Further, if the clock were reset to 2 or 3 seconds instead of 1 second, it might have been the smart call! It was also suggested that Ole Miss had 12 players on the field, which a spike would've allowed LSU to set up and kick the FG without a rush.

Hearing Miles' explanation of his arm motions on the sideline being directed at the refs to argue against Ole Miss' player holding the ball as if he had recovered a fumble or made the interception (not to direct JJ to spike the ball) is more than believable, and perhaps a few fans owe Miles an apology for accusing him of lying. That too I can forgive, because nothing was clear during all the chaos, except two things to me:

a) shitty play-calling by our OC (AGAIN) with 1st and 10 on the 30 with 2 TO's and 1:00 remaining, and
b) Miles and company failure to call a TO with 32 seconds remaining.

Everything after that point was just "icing on a diarrea cake".

This is my first post since the game. My feelings are much the same as most after watching that debacle. It was easily one of the worst coached finishes Ive ever seen. Too many emotions to post so I stayed away from the boards. Its hard to be a true fan because you dont always win. You dont always play well. The players make mistakes, the coaches make mistakes, and sometimes the other team is just better (and its hard to admit that).

But "IM A TIGER FAN". What other college team could I, would I, or should I, cheer for. None. Im sure the same goes for most of you. The Tigers have made me so happy over the last decade. Im proud to be a tiger, even when we play bad. Its hard to stay positive, but I still come back every week to cheer, even if its just me in front of my T.V.

I look back and wonder how some of our faithful lasted nearly 40 yrs. without a Natl. Championship. 40 yrs. from now I plan to be just that fan regardless of our record. LSU isnt just a college, its my alumni, its my pride, its my home regardless of where I live.

Now, dont get me wrong, Im not drinking the coolaid. Players need to play better, coaches need to coach better and fans need to act better. Changes need to be made either in personnel, gameplan, or coaches if need be. But, regardless Im a Tiger Fan just like everyone of you who are pissed and complaining. Its ok to be mad, but we still need to support this team.

Geaux Tigers.

I want Miles to coach a good game Saturday, have the team fired up to win the last home game, finish with an acceptable record, win a damn bowl game, make post season coaching adjustments, and have one helluva successful 2010!

I never left

I'll be the first to admit that the coaching staff f'd up Saturday night but there are many on here that want to blame Miles for everything because they've been waiting to do it for 5 years now.

With a more experience QB, o-line, and defense i predict we beat bama and a Tebowless UF next year on route to the SEC championship.
