I didn't get home in time Sunday to watch the replay of the game, but from some of the highlights I have seen it looked like Lee was falling off some of his throws. Can anyone who watched the game on TV or saw the replay tell me if this was a common occurrence and if it was if the commentators picked up on it. From what I saw in the stadium his ball placement seemed ok (although my vision could have been slightly blurry) but I would like to see him stepping through his throws more.

Most would but when you say it people accuse you of hating on Lee.

Jl is the only QB in the world that does this intentionally. It helps his timing

I think people are latching onto this phrase. Not saying the OP is one such person however.

Maybe it's just how he throws. Maybe he throws more with his hips.A QB coach could give himself a headache pointing out all of the problems with Philip Rivers' motion, but it works for him.

Not saying it is the case or isn't, and I'm not comparing Lee to Rivers, but rather that I don't give a damn if he throws off of his left hand if the ball gets where it is supposed to go.

Phillip Rivers plays in the NFL. His throws are god-awful, just awful looking. As long as he connects with the reciever for a completion, I don't care how it looks. By the way a good majority of his throws(JL) were right on. IF he missed he was out in front leading the receiver, not at his feet.

I thought it was great with the exception of a few throws.

He would have had some deep touchdown passes if he would have put some power behind it.

I think it's just how he throws. I like Lee, but hate watching QBs throw off their back foot.

At times when Jlee throws off his back foot its due to backpeddling .. which is buying a scond or two to deliver the ball.

When Bernie Kosar won at Miami he threw the ball side arm when necessary.

I clearly not something he wants to do. His best throws are when he steps into his throw.yes Phillip rivers has an awkward motion but he steps into his throws. If you don't think throwing off ur backfoot takes away from accuracy then I don't know what else to say.

J Lee nailed his throws. He connected across the middle, on the sideline and in the endzone. 4 dropped passes at least and two of them were total ropes under pressure that were just dropped. Plus the guy played under immense pressure due to negativity, history and hype. I think he did well and will improve. Quit overanalyzing and realize he ran the offense beautifully, did not have to rush coming out of the huddle, made sure the players were lined up every time, did not throw a pic and last but not lease won the farking game.

Lee does it when he's not avoiding pressure.

JJ does not throw off his back foot and does not have good accuracy. Anything else to say.

Well you just hate JL then don't you

You are right on point, we missed every slant oppurtunity in this game bc our WR's had to severely readjust to balls behind or under them.

Personally, I think JL did great compared to previous outings, which shows improvement, which is all we need.

JJ has a higher completion % for his career than Lee does...
