Field temperature even worse with heat index. How do they keep both sides from heat exhaustion in that kind of environment?

That’s fricking hot. The only thing I’ll say is at least it’s hotter than Africa down in BR too so it’s not like we shouldn’t be used to it

They could do what Boise State did, crank the heat to 100 inside and spray the ground and players with water to simulate the environment. It actually worked too.

If I’m a band member I’m staying hydrated. Don’t want another Tennessee

That turf is going to be like a microwave. I feel sorry for the players. This game should start at 8 this time of year.

Secondary market tickets to the game will be more available and cheaper. A lot of old folks in Texas aren’t going to wanna sit around in that oven.

Meh. Both teams ought to be used to the heat. I don't see it as an advantage for either. Maybe the team that has more depth can rotate more players.

Lived here in metro DFW, TX since June 1. Moved here from tropical Florida where humid hot was the summertime norm. Born and raised in NOLA, where hot and humid is a way of life. Thought TX would be a piece of cake. Wrong-O! That sun in TX is blazing hot, relentlessly most days in Mid July-August. It bakes you and then dehydrates you. When there is no wind or breeze, look out. It is killer hot here. And sometimes it gets humid too. 98 degrees is not optimal game conditions in Austin. Be prepared, Tigers!

Summers in central Texas were worse than Summers in Iraq.

I was there a few weeks ago, I wouldn’t call it dry but it’s not nearly as humid as here. 100 degrees every day, really hot, but it didn’t feel quite as hot as 90 degrees here.

I was in BR this past weekend for the game and it was a welcome relief from the Austin heat

I lived there for several years and this is correct. All these people saying the heat is gonna be a problem. Wrong, LSU practices in 100 degree weather with humidity every day. Granted it is hot, but let’s not act like we are not used to it already

Sorry. Wrong answer.

Pray for a breeze, otherwise it will be stifling.
