Good- we end up with more bcs 'ships than them, could sway recruits, better a yearly rival lose than win, screw their sCam Newton cigar smoking confused mascot asses

Bad- breaks SEC dominance which we are a part of, could hurt us if we need the benefit of the doubt in the playoff system, we now won't be remembered as the team that ruined their near perfect season

So many reasons for both...

In the long run it doesn't matter. All we need to think and focus on is winning.

Doesn't matter. All that matters in the SEC right now is us winning and Alabama losing.

Saban's recruiting cache is so strong that them losing actually does help us. Other than that, it really doesn't matter too much.

Auburn winning sure wouldn't have been good for LSU

Good in that screw Auburn. Bad in that Dupre is considering FSU.

We beat 'em. Pretty handily. Even with our less than stellar defense this year, I like our chances against ANYBODY in the country. So since I can't stand either Gump school...Glad they lost! Either way, ready for 2014 LSU Football.

It's good for me because I think it's funny to make fun of my Auburn friends. Other than that I couldn't give two shits

It's a good thing. We would NEVER here the end of it if AU would of won. AU was good this year, but let's be honest, the ball bounced their way and they ran out of luck in the end!!!!

I have been arguing with a few of my friends about this all night. But as an LSU fan it is nice to see Alabama, and Auburn lose to other schools. But do not! I repeat do not think that ESPN is not going to roll with this mantra for the next year of how the SEC is no longer the dominant conference. And in the short term that does not hurt us. But in the long term, ESPN and others have big influence. (Look at how it has helped Alabama) And the last thing we need is for the national media turn on our conference. And in that respect it will hurt LSU.

FSU is as capable of recruiting against LSU as AU is.

I'm just thrilled Bama lost twice.

SEC Network starts next year. ESPN knows where their bread is buttered

Yes i know this. But you hear it on the radio, and the comments after the game. The talk about the SEC finally going down. And the conference not as strong blah blah. What i meant overall is if ESPN and others keep up with this mantra. Kids that are 17 or so, are very impressionable. And they will slowly migrate to schools from other conferences. And if you do not think that hurts LSU as a whole. It will. One of the great things we have been able to do is to recruit kids to come play for the SEC. We do not need the national media dissing the conference. That is all i meant.
