Easy there, buddy! Don't hang the messenger. That was a direct quote out of an e-mail that was sent to me.

I don't know what they are, but they're high def and they're much better than the tv's they used to have.

I usuall get an e-vite to Happy Hours, why don't we get with the Alumni Association and get that Evite out! We can get a better grip on the numbers and I can forward it on to those Tiger fans that don't view this board.

Actually, we're making one. It'll go out either tonight or in the morning. I'll post a link here once I have it. The e-newsletter will be going out today or tomorrow as well with this info. If anyone wants to be added to the e-mail list for evites and newsletters, go to the website and add your e-mail address.

Correction: The e-newsletter just went out.

Wasn't meant to be taken literally. Besides, when you use "arse" instead of "arse" it's supposed to be funny. The tv's are much better at SC now. You can actually sit outside in the back row and see the names on the jerseys.

This will be my first attempt watching a LSU game at any bar in ATX....

Besides being crowded, why is Shoal Creek so bad? I scoped it out Sunday night (too big of a game to leave to chance) and the back patio seemed like the best place to sit.

Thoughts?? I'm an easy sell and would go elsewhere if theyre too many cons to Shoal...

Shoal Creek wouldn't be so bad if it were just Tiger Fans in there, but the outside patio (of all the games I've watched there) were for the UT games. If UT and LSU play at the same time, there are a lot of Horn fans there.

ETA: Oh, and the chair lifts are not very comfortable downstairs.

There's nothing wrong with Shoal Creek. It's always filled with Tiger fans on gameday and they're very good to us. It's a great place. The only "problem" is that there isn't enough room to comfortably fit everyone who wants to go for the game. That's why we're adding a second viewing location. We're just trying to have more than one bar where you can go for the game, sound, and lots of Tiger fans.

Shoal Creek splits the tv's and the sound when UT and LSU play at the same time...at least for the last two years.

For this Saturday we are GUARANTEED sound and at least 3 tv's at Lavaca, so y'all come on out. If I'm wrong, you can hit Uncle Stu with a folding chair.

I have some Louisiana friends coming into town this weekend... depending on what they want to do, I may show up with 3 others. (1 is a big LSU guy, the other 2 are not)

I should be able to make it for some future games.

whoa.....

since when did we graduate to a folding chair???

much more of this, and you'll have random non-LSU fans lining up to smack the albino

no bueno
