You guys need a primer with a depth of understanding of the LSU situation.
Consider the following:
- LSU has lost the last 5 times to Bama. at least 2 of these were spankings.
- LSU has lost the last 2 to Arkansas - both were spankings
- LSU is 13-10 in the last 3 years in the SEC
- LSU is 8-9 in the SEC-West the last 3 years (TAMU not played yet in '15, of course)
- Miles is 2-4 in his last 6 post-season games
- Miles offenses are poor - they have averaged a ranking of 65th in the NCAA on offense over the last 5 years. This years is ranked 44th, an with arguably the best player in the country on offense.
- In 11 years as LSU coach, Miles has not recruited AND developed a single good QB
-- Flynn and Russell were inherited and coached prior. Mettenberger spent a year at UGA and a year at JC. Count them if you want, but my point is that Miles has not recruited ANY HS Qb's that would be considered as starters at Bama. Zero. Nilch.
- LSU did not just "lose" the last 3 games, they got pummelled and were non-competitive in all 3. Let's get that distinction down, pleae
- Coach Miles is not an x's and o's guy, and is a slow thinker. Frustratingly slow.
- Miles consistently produces sloppy teams that are mistake ridden and often lack communications even when coming out of a timeout - un-freakin-acceptable.
- Miles brought back Bradley Dale Paveto to coach special teams - find me more than 5% of the fan base who thought that was a good idea. The man may be his friend and a good guy, but did a poor job in the first round, and worse in the second round. Unacceptable.
- Miles is as hard-headed as they come. He will not adjust. He has been passed up by those who have.
- Miles is as weird as they come in his language. That we can accept. I know the media sells a lot of soap and gets a lot of content off of him, as well.
- Miles is a good-hearted and decent man. A wonderful man. That does not mean he should be our coach.
- Miles is a great recruiter with a talent rich state, basically all to himself.
- Miles won a national championship 7 years ago
- Miles is the best coach LSU has ever had. Since 1/9/12, his mojo is lost. Gone. In other news, Farrah Fawcett was hot in the 70's and 80's.
Now. Before you continue to spout off with your poorly-developed and short-sided opinions, please consider the holistic side of the story.
And oh, a season ticket holder in a decent lower bowl seat has to spend ~ 3K a season for 2 tickets and parking, and the stadium seating far exceeds the parking and traffic capacities. Far exceeds it. BTW, the same person cannot get a fraction of the paid price in the event they need to sell the ticket. (Edit: The spelling of "sell" is now corrected. BTW, smart arse - arse was spelled wrong on purpose).
So, please watch the simplified statements and assessments you make about the "LSU fanbase". Basically, unless you considered all of that - you don't know crap.
Thanks,
TigerBert
ps...I get it. You guys have prep sessions before the broadcasts. You take provocative positions to stir the hornets nest. You do this to all teams. Disney has fiduciary responsibility to the stock owners, so building interest is of high priority. All that said, you still seem to be in need of the primer above. Thanks for listening. I listen to and watch you guys, and hope to see you filter the whole story, instead of the "LSU fans expect too much" narrative that is too often espoused.

Please add that Alleva is a spineless bastard.

I agree with all of this 100%.

And he also has the best win percentage in school history. What does that say about all the crappy hires LSU has made in the previous 100+ years....

I just wish they would stop using 10 wins as a historical benchmark for a successful season and instead use seasons with 2 or less losses

Frick you. I'm more pissed about our white trash institution and the way they have handled this; then bitching about Miles's record.
After the Ole Miss game NOONE disagrees it's time to get rid of Miles.
But we are losing 5* recruits now because of the way OUR admisitrstion has handled this.
