Attending my first Florida game

I hear they treat LSU fans pretty bad when we are there pretty much looking for a reason to arrest Tiger fans. One crazy thing I heard is we can't STEP ON THE GRASS. Just give me some advice

Go to Knoxville or Tuscaloosa instead. Hell even Oxford is better than that shite hole. Plus you get so see grown arse men basically cream themselves over Archie manning walking through the Groove.

I have tickets to the Tennesse game as well I just wished I was better informed before I spent $415 on tickets to UF

That's at Texas A&M.
In Gainesville you have to watch out for police as they target LSU fans.
Oh, and most of their fans are a-holes.

Sell your tickets. They have crazy drinking laws that they love to enforce on LSU fans. Their fans will go out of their was to screw with you.

Went to Gainesville twice in early 00's when I was still in school and hated it. There are shite fans in every fan base but they are across the board dickheads. We as LSU fans might give the opposing teams fans shite but at least we'll show some hospitality and feed them while busting their balls. Oh and in Ben Hill-Griffin they'll throw shite at lsu fans at the end of the game if you win. personally my 3 favorite places to attend an away game are Knoxville, Oxford and Tuscaloosa.

Bring an ice chest full of piss balloons and prepare to defend yourself. If you really want some fun walk around letting FL fans know you are looking forward to meeting Coach Zook after the game.

I haven't experienced the outdoor tailgating scene at Florida that much, as I always go to one of the bars near the stadium (Grog House is one, I think). I've never had any kind of encounter with cops in Gainesville, and the fans seem OK to me. Back in the early '90s, they'd get a little rowdy, but not really any worse than some LSU fans. In more recent trips, they've actually been very nice. It's a great environment in the stadium and their fans can be a lot of fun to talk to. Go to the game and enjoy yourself. Hopefully, we'll win and you can enjoy it even more than I have on my previous trips, which were all losses.

Fans are freaking horrible not to mention very strange. I know you always have a few fans that act asses and I'm ok with that but UF fans are a different breed. It's hard to even find a UF fan that you can drink a few beers with while tailgating and enjoy the conversation like other SEC schools.
I much prefer UT, Auburn, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, TAMU.
I will not go back to Arkansas, Florida, or Ole Miss.

Bring some jorts, stop at a Publix and get some cheap beer and cigarettes. Wouldnt hurt if you could get a tattoo as well.

Yeah this. They are sore winners though. After we lost in 2013 they were pretty rough leaving the stadium. Before the game though, they invited us to tailgate, and we had a great time.
I agree with everything said here. You have to experience it at least once in your life. If this is the year, just know what you're getting into. I've been to every SEC venue but A&M and Mizzou. Florida is hit and miss. I've been three times, and had my best and worst away experience in successive trips to Florida. The worst was 2008 when Tebow kicked our arse. The fans were God awful after. But like I said, I've also had one of my best trips ever there. So, they can be good and bad. I wouldn't expect much good this year.

This, Ole Miss and Florida are the two trips I wish I wouldnt have went, Arkansas a close 3rd.
