At some point, you just have to foul Hield when he makes a move to shoot

Dudes a great player, and seems like a good guy, unlike his teammates, but damn, after the 8th three, you gotta do something different.

Make him make 3 free throws, push up on him and make him drive past you, or something.

You do realize he shoots 90% from the stripe and 53% from beyond the arc? Yeah, no I like my chances not doing that

He is a 90% FT shooter. The expected value fouling him would be 2.7 points versus the 1.56 points of expected value for a 52% 3 point shooter. Seems like a terrible idea.

Same concept with Steph Curry. I'll never understand why teams let him take 3 after 3.... I'd let him take shots but once he gets on a role I'd make sure that I have someone 1 on 1 with him playing him like glue. If he wants to take a shot I will guarantee he won't make it cause I will be playing him that hard.

you give a great shooter some hard fouls to get them off their game. yeah, they'll get some free throws but, if they get knicked up, it was totally worth it. or you could just follow the jones strategy and let him walk all over you.

Cant do that very often since he is a spot shooter. He has it in his hands in shooting position and gets it off very quickly. And dont want to foul and let him get off a trey.
