Brain surgeon next year. I simply am not capable and neither are they. Cam's resume is horrible being Fired from at least three jobs. Who gets fired two months before the team they are the offensive coordinator for is about to win the Super Bowl?

Miles time has passed. Many coaches have coached for too long. Miles now falls into that category.

Think about what LSU has become in all sports. The football team has lost four of its last six games and doesn't appear to be able to turn things around. Johnny Jones is a terrible coach, so is the ladies hoops coach. Maneri has won one baseball game at the CWS in the last 7 seasons. The football team hasn't won a major bowl game in 8 seasons and has only played in one major bowl since 2007.

These are not the glory days. We had this fixed with Jimbo and King blew it.

He needs to face the music.

I agree. The time has come for a change and we missed the Jimbo boat. That will never happen again.

Asking Les and/or Cam to change is like asking me to stop liking boobs - not gonna happen

Fear not, he won't need to change. At the end of this football season Miles and Cameron's sons will be headed to school, outside of LA.
Their plan has been to give it a go until then. Once the boys are done with their football seasons you will likely hear the rumblings of Miles retiring if LSU admin doesn't jump the shark. (Although they may have to)
It also wouldn't be surprising for the news to hit airwaves sometime in mid October, prior to the final run of land mines.
Les and Cam will get to see their boys play their final year of high school ball while they pad the account for one last year.
Next year, both will be traveling around, free of obligations watching their boys and girls college activities. This will happen regardless of whether or not LSU terminates them.

The only thing that makes this questionable is that Les could get to "retirement" age at LSU if a few breaks went his way. Obviously, the retirement package he will have from the state is quite enticing but that's not been his goal for the last few years. As we sit, we see Miles slowing down just a bit because he sees the finish line, and he's coasting in for the last 10 meters. He already knows this is his last sprint and he stumbled out the blocks. He's pretty much going to coast across the finish line because for him, the goal is the finish line.

I figured that's why his son accepted the Nebraska offer.

Yup its almost as though he came back to spite us. These frickers tried to fire me and I won a title. I'm going to show them who has the swinging dick and then ride off into the sunset

The only change he needed to make was to hire a new oc and take a hands off approach to the offensive scheme. Of he did that we would be fine. He is stubborn and wants things done his way.

Yes.... I'm hopeful and optimistic the admin is aware and staying ahead of the situation at this point. The Governor/president of LSU squashed the deal last year but they will not be able to this year.

You know what? He really doesn't.

The Les Miles offense has always been similar. What we're seeing now is very much what we've seen since 2005.

What changed, however, was Miles' willingness to run trick plays, gadget plays and misdirection plays. That unpredictable play-calling caused opponents to constantly hesitate; that hesitation fueled the LSU offenses.

Power, you are correct but the goal wasn't to turn things around. The goal was to get to the finish line, which was the kids senior year.
He had the line in sight and didn't have to fire his best friend to get to it. Hell, I wouldn't have done it either, likely you wouldn't either.
They'll go out sour, but they'll go out just the way they planned.
Miles will still be beloved (in time) and Cam will still be his best bud.
